Art'otel Dresden, by Park Plaza, is an easy place to stay in Saxony's capital. You'll find it at 33 Ostra-Allee, and it's a good choice for LGBTQ+ travelers visiting this German city. What makes it interesting is its collection of works by A.R. Penck, a local artist, whose pieces are all over the hotel, making the place feel a bit like a gallery itself.
The hotel sits in a useful spot for seeing Dresden. From here, it's a short walk to the Semperoper opera house, the Zwinger Palace, and the Yenidze building. These are the big architectural draws, so if you're here for the sights, you're close enough.
As a hotel that actively welcomes LGBTQ+ guests, you can expect a comfortable stay and no fuss. The art focus gives it a bit more personality than your average chain hotel, and Park Plaza's name on the door usually means things run smoothly. For specific room types, prices, and what's currently on offer, check their website at artotels.com/dresden-hotel-de-d-01067/gerdrart/. It's a convenient spot whether you're chasing museums, a night out, or just want to feel like you're in a city that cares about art.

Very friendly staff, regional breakfast, room cleanliness could be better, curtains stained, windows and frames could use a cleaning. The bathroom tiles take some getting used to.
The hotel's location is truly excellent. The city center and many attractions are easily reachable on foot in just a few minutes. The underground parking garage is also convenient if you're arriving by car (cost: €20 per day). Unfortunately, I was not at all satisfied with the cleanliness. There were traces of blood around the trash can in the bathroom (see photos), which I found extremely unhygienic and disgusting. This is absolutely unacceptable! The overall cleanliness of the room also fell short of my expectations for a hotel of this category. The excellent location, unfortunately, cannot compensate for the lack of cleanliness. There is definitely room for improvement here. A real shame!
Very nice hotel, very good service & close to the city center, 15 min walk to the Semperoper opera house
Small but nice room within walking distance of the Semperoper opera house.
Great hotel, clean, beautiful rooms, very friendly reception.
