Hotel Motel One Dresden Palaisplatz
Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent location and friendly, helpful staff, with many enjoying the bar and breakfast. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are too small, particularly for couples or those with luggage, and some found the price unjustified given the room size.

Motel One Dresden Palaisplatz is a solid choice for LGBTQ+ travelers wanting a central, no-fuss base in Dresden.
You’re between Palaisplatz and Neustadt central station, right where you want to be. The Innere Neustadt neighborhood around the hotel is full of independent shops, small galleries, and local cultural spots. It feels less like a tourist trap than some other parts of Dresden.
From here, you can walk to Albertplatz, which is a major transport hub. That means the rest of Dresden — the Canaletto views by the Elbe, all the museums, the historic buildings — is easy to get to. And when you’re done sightseeing, you're back in a neighborhood that still feels like Dresden, not just a hotel zone.
This is a budget design hotel. So you get style and a great location, not a bunch of luxury extras you might not even use. It’s practical, it’s central, and it lets you explore the city's art, architecture, or the local LGBTQ+ community without breaking the bank. Find more details at motel-one.com.

The service and helpfulness were exceptionally good. I would gladly return! The location is superb!
Very pleased
A wonderful stay! We felt very welcome from the start. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, creating a pleasant atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the bar; the wide selection of drinks and the relaxed service made the evening even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also delicious and well-organized. Overall, we had a truly fantastic experience and would love to return.
Good for one night. The mattresses were comfortable and breakfast was good. The price was abysmal because Helene Fischer was giving a concert and Dresden was practically fully booked.
The room was on the third floor, but extremely noisy due to the street traffic and ongoing construction. Sleeping with the window open was impossible. Furthermore, the double room was more like a single room in terms of size. A price of €163 per night was absolutely unjustified.
The rooms are far too small. There's no shelf by the bed (not even a small one, barely enough room to put anything). There's no wardrobe, only shelves in alcoves. The bathroom has a shower and toilet in one room, barely big enough for one person. The price/performance ratio is not acceptable. On the plus side: The hotel's underground parking garage is accessible by elevator. Breakfast was very good.
