via Stay22About this place Rudi Arndt
Rudi Arndt is a gay hotel in Dresden's quiet Swiss Quarter, a good home base for LGBTQ+ visitors seeing Saxony's capital.
It’s only 900 meters from Dresden Hauptbahnhof, the main train station. That makes getting around the city pretty easy.
The place has a few different spots to hang out. You’ll find two dining rooms for meals or just getting together, plus two seminar rooms if you’re there for a meeting. There’s also a club room that gets going in the evenings. When it’s warm, the terrace is open; otherwise, the cellar bar is a cozy spot for a drink.
Rooms start at €15, so it's a solid, affordable option. And because it's a gay hotel, you can count on a space that gets and truly welcomes LGBTQ+ guests.

The access road for the coach is very narrow, completely blocked by parked cars. Loading and unloading passengers is only possible on the street.
I'm here with a school class and it's actually quite good. The food was good, the room was okay, and the staff was very nice.
We spent a week in Dresden and the surrounding area with two adults and two children, and the Rudi Arndt Youth Hostel was our haven of peace. The hostel's location is fantastic. There's parking for our family car. From there, you can easily walk to Dresden's city center or use the nearby public transport. All the interesting places in Dresden are easily accessible (Frauenkirche, Hygiene Museum, Zoo, etc.). We felt very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The rooms were cozy and clean. The individual showers in the hallway were clean and spacious enough. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back again.
This was my third time staying here with students. The location is fantastic, just a 10-15 minute walk from the main train station. It's a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful, with something for everyone. We felt very comfortable. We'd gladly come back. Highly recommended.
