Ein Portrait des wohl abwechslungsreichsten Viertels der Stadt. Filmemacher Birk Poßecker sammelte über einen Zeitraum von drei Jahren Geschichten aus dem Leipziger Osten. Zwischen Bars, Wohnungen, Nachbarschaftstreffs, Brachen und Kulturstätten kommen verschiedenste Akteur*innen zu Wort und offenbaren die Konfliktlinien eines Viertels im Wandel: Verdrängung, Ungleichheit und Rassismus. Dank VHS-Aufnahmen verschwimmen historische und neue Aufnahmen zu zeitlosen Bildern im Retro-Look.
A portrait of a changing dristrict. Over the period of three years, filmmaker Birk Poßecker collected stories from the east of Leipzig. Between bars, apartments, neighborhood meetings, construction sites and cultural venues, a wide variety of players have their say and reveal the conflict lines of a neighborhood in transition: displacement, inequality and racism.
