I booked and paid for the hotel because it explicitly stated that it had facilities for guests with disabilities and an elevator. So I traveled there to spend a weekend in Nuremberg. Unfortunately, that didn't work out because the elevator wasn't functioning. I could have accessed the room through some back entrances, but only with assistance. Leaving the room independently would have been impossible. I certainly didn't go there to spend a few days feeling like I was in prison. The receptionist claimed she tried to help me, but nothing came of it. The way guests like myself, who use wheelchairs, are treated also needs improvement. Even if someone is in a wheelchair, you shouldn't talk to them condescendingly and try to blame them by not letting them speak. I felt like I was being treated like a child. And I'm retired! The receptionist claimed I should have called ahead and specifically mentioned that I needed a wheelchair, which I had done because of the bathroom facilities, but apparently, that information was overlooked at the hotel. So, to top it all off, I'm supposed to be to blame for this whole mess. In short, if you have a physical disability, find another hotel where you'll be treated better, and above all, as a human being. I can't provide a photo because I didn't even get into the hotel; I was dealt with at the door.
Poor value for money. Noisy environment. Elevator was out of order.
Perfect location near the festival grounds with excellent bus connections and bike and scooter rentals. The beds were incredibly comfortable and very cozy. The only downside: there were no closets in the room, so clothes and shoes were scattered everywhere. A small closet should be doable and would make the stay much more comfortable.
✅ Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. ❌ No kettle, no tea/coffee service, no mini-fridge in the room. ❌ No wake-up service (you couldn't even let the reception know). ❌ The bathroom was full of hair – absolutely unhygienic. Conclusion: Only recommended if breakfast is your only priority. For the price, too many basic amenities are missing, and the cleanliness is unacceptable.
I was genuinely surprised by my stay! The room was spotlessly clean; there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The beds were incredibly comfortable, so I slept soundly every night – which isn't always a given. What I particularly appreciated, though, was the service at reception. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with any questions or problems. You can tell they truly value good service here. Honestly, some more expensive hotels could learn a thing or two from them. You often pay significantly more but don't get nearly as pleasant service and clean rooms. For me, the whole package here is just right: impeccable cleanliness, comfortable beds, and a reception team that genuinely goes the extra mile. I'll definitely be back and can recommend this hotel to anyone who values friendliness and cleanliness without breaking the bank. All in all, a truly wonderful experience!
Absolutely fine for a one-star hotel.
