100% recommended! Very clean, great area with lots of nature. The owner was super nice. We'll definitely come back.
In short: Pricey, but a sauna of a special kind! In winter, it's fine if you don't take the sauna raft out onto the water but stay moored at the dock. In summer, however, you're pretty much on display, as there's a small bathing area belonging to the campsite right next to it. The dock couldn't be locked (at least our attempts were unsuccessful), and there were a few curious onlookers. I would book the raft for a maximum of three people. Anything more would be far too cramped and uncomfortable. The sauna itself has room for three people if they sit side by side. There's room for a maximum of two people to lie down. The FAQ on the website states that there's a toilet on board; however, during the briefing, we were told that there wasn't one and that we had to use the campsite's restrooms. You're given a key for these, and it's a bit of a walk. The sauna was already preheated, so we were able to start our first sauna session right away. We couldn't get it to reach 100 degrees Celsius, though. We were usually at 75-85 degrees, which was sufficient. A sauna infusion is provided, and there's plenty of firewood (you have to add more every 30 minutes). The price is quite high, considering you have to bring almost everything yourself (towels, bathrobes, food, and drinks).
Highly recommended! We had a wonderful day in the sauna overlooking the frozen Havel River and swimming in it. It was very peaceful at the jetty in February, and we even saw a white-tailed eagle.
Fantastic day! We heated the sauna up to 100 degrees. The sauna infusion was great too. We were able to park right in front. Best spot in Potsdam with a breathtaking view over the entire lake. Very cozy inside, warm and welcoming. Absolutely top-notch, we'll definitely be back.
A fantastic experience! Being out on the water in 100-degree heat is something truly special. Everything was very clean, nicely decorated, and the instructions were great.
Worth experiencing, but probably not something we'd want to repeat. The sauna got nice and hot thanks to regular firing (every 30 minutes, as we were told). Overall, it was very relaxing. Everything was explained to us very nicely and thoroughly. Unfortunately, many boats/canoes/swimmers passed by the sauna boat, quite curiously and very close, so we didn't really have any peace and quiet. It was clear that the sauna boat had already left some signs of wear and tear. What bothered us a bit: there wasn't a suitable small table for the chairs outside, no toilet, and people could see into the sauna from the outside. Perhaps there's a way to allow people to see out but not be seen in. For us, the price was a bit too high for what we were getting.
A wonderful experience. The four hours flew by. The skipper took us out and picked us up again in the evening. The sauna easily heats up to 100 degrees Celsius; there's plenty of wood available.
