This place is beautiful. Check out the hot tub next the ocean!!! The town is extremely cute. The house is wonderful, the old couple who run it were very nice and helpful, they obviously care a lot about the place. It was a lovely place to visit!!

Great value for the price. you can really tell the difference between north and south iceland accommodations). The old couple that runs this place is super friendly and helpful. Apart from the cozy rooms, clean facilities, there is one other reason we will never forget this place. We saw the northern lights in all its glory from here!!

There were hardly any guests at the time of my stay, so it was fine, but the soundproofing is almost non-existent and the room is very cramped. It is hard to even imagine what it would have been like if there had been a lot of people. The owner is kind and lives in the same building.

We had a wonderful stay at The Viking Country Club Guest House! The owners are a kind and warm-hearted elderly couple who made us feel truly at home. The house itself is full of character, cozy, and very well maintained. Everything we needed was available — the facilities are complete and thoughtfully prepared. It felt like staying in a welcoming family home with a special Icelandic charm. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this area!

A warm welcome from the two owners of the guesthouse, who truly seem to have opened their family home to guests. The kitchen is very well equipped; you're sure to find everything you need. Coffee, tea, and milk are provided. There's also a terrace with tables for al fresco dining and a hotel pool heated to 39°C for relaxation.

Well-organized facility, with refrigerator dividers labeled with the room's name. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of supplies. The outdoor area features a BBQ, tables, and a heated spa tub, which is probably rarely used (it was covered). The shared bathroom for the ground-floor rooms (4 rooms) includes a large washing machine (1500 ISK per wash) and a dryer (another 1500 ISK per use). The dining area is sparse, with only three tables (seating 6, max 8) for 8 rooms! The room is small and perhaps overcrowded with books and ornaments. These were nice, but they made the room seem smaller than it was and sometimes took up space for keys, phones, etc. Recycling is available, but not very visible: the bins are at the entrance where you remove your shoes; the kitchen is upstairs. If you don't notice it when you arrive, it's not marked anywhere. In 8 rooms, no one had figured out where to throw away their waste, resulting in overflowing bins in the kitchen.

Small. Cramped. Difficult check-in process. Gross shower. Main shower head didn’t work. Gross shower floor. No hand towels. Toilet splashes when flushing. Gross bathroom floor. Two bathrooms are not enough for the number of people who can sleep there. Moldy walls and ceilings in bathroom and bedroom. Cold and damp floors. So many flies but they provide an electric bug zapper. Dishes not guaranteed to be clean. Owner said dishwasher didn’t work but she used it anyway. Very thin walls in what seems to be a concrete house. Not worth $200+ per night.

Faded glory. They want to do everything right for you by overloading you with amenities. But the lovely people are too old to run this properly anymore. The room was very small. You could barely reach your bed. The shared bathroom was not fresh and smelled of sewage. It was all just not quite right. Otherwise, a fine stay if that doesn't bother you.

A wonderful stay at Viking Country Club! The location is stunning—nestled beautifully between mountains, offering peace and incredible views. Our host was very kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are shared, but they were clean and well-maintained, which worked perfectly for our stay. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a quiet, scenic retreat with great hospitality!

Nice spot. Very welcoming owners. Calm and beautiful environment. Can be crowded since it seems quite popular and relatively small. Would come back without hesitation.
