The Social Hub Bologna

The staff were very helpful, and the hotel has a nice concept. We didn't have any problems with cleanliness or security, the only downside is that it can be noisy at night, probably because it caters to a younger population. Our only regret is that we couldn't fully enjoy the hotel's facilities because our priority was exploring the city. It will be the first place I look for accommodation when I return to Bologna.

Loved my stay hear, but my room hade a weak flow of water in the shower and the sink, but that could probably be fixt if you ask the staff. Loved my stay.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2026. On check-in we were given room 2001 — a fairly spacious room with high ceilings. The room itself isn't the coziest, but the extra space was practical. Our windows faced the road, but noise was never an issue at night. The bed was comfortable, with a good duvet and pillows to match. There was a small wardrobe, and a few more hangers would have been appreciated. The room also had a mini fridge and a small safe — always reassuring to be able to lock away valuables when you're out for the day. Rounding out the room was a small desk, a chair, a coffee machine, a kettle, and a small wall-mounted TV. The air conditioning worked well, though there was an occasional odd smell in the room. The bathroom was modern, with dark tiles and a practical corner shower. Shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner were provided and worked perfectly well for me. Breakfast was quite good, with a solid spread of eggs, bacon, cereals, bread, fruit, and more. The breakfast area itself was a touch on the small side — finding a seat wasn't always easy if you arrived at the wrong time. The hotel is built around a small central courtyard with a bar area and a pool. The pool is a little undersized given how many guests the hotel can hold, but it was still lovely to grab an ice-cold beer at the courtyard bar. Other facilities include a gym, a laundry room, an ironing room, and several co-working spaces. The hotel clearly attracts a lot of students and people staying in Bologna for longer stretches. The location worked well for us. It's a 5-minute walk to the train station, and underpasses let you cross beneath the tracks straight into the city center. Buses weren't the easiest to find nearby, but a tram line is reportedly coming to the area in the future. This is definitely a hotel with its own character — a bit of a student atmosphere. Take it for what it is: a straightforward hotel where the rooms are practical rather than plush. But you get what you need, and the location is far from bad.

Great place! Clean and spacious rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was perfect to fight the summer heat.

I am very impressed by their hospitality. Its very cozy. The rooms are clean and nice. They even gave me a free birthday drink which made me feel extra special on my special day. I highly recommend this place 💞

Amazing place, loved it, staff were great so helpful. Pool area is really welcoming , lots of shaded areas to sit. Love the concept of this place, wheather it's work or play, every guest is looked after. Great bar too. Would recommend The social hub to anyone who's looking for a warm welcome, great rooms and relaxed atmosphere ☺️

The staff is very kind and polite. But this is by far the worst hotel and worst social hub i’ve stayed at. The beds are horrible. They use a piece of sponge as mattress. The worst 2 nights I’ve ever experienced. And i’m used to sleeping on shi mattresses. This thing was out of the world. Also the pool was always full. They should regulate a bit more.

What can I say? Everything was almost perfect! Spacious and clean rooms, a hearty breakfast highly recommended for a great start to the day. Between a dip in the pool and a spot of sports (there's even a ping pong table), there's nothing to complain about in this magnificent hotel, just steps from Bologna's central station. Perhaps a small negative is the restaurant; eat there if you really don't want to travel to the city center.
