Montebianco Mokinba

Huge disappointment with this hotel. The room was far from clean. We spent two nights with a broken and unrepaired air conditioner. The staff said they would take care of it, but nothing was done. With the room at 30 degrees Celsius, the nights were sleepless. Avoid this hotel.

Want to stay in Milan? Don't go near this hotel. Terrible! A nightmare experience. A cozy hotel, with friendly reception staff and comfortable beds. A good breakfast with a wide selection of cakes, pastries, and croissants. A plus is the location near the metro station, which offers quick access to San Siro Stadium, which, admittedly, was the reason I visited Milan. However, the proximity of the metro line was also a bit of a nuisance – the noise of passing trains was audible, especially in the mornings and evenings. Another interesting point is the lack of functioning air conditioning. The hotel management "didn't consent" to turning it on in May.

It's not a 4-star hotel! Think of it as a 3-star. There are no slippers, no toothbrushes, and the shampoo and body wash are combined. The room was renovated and clean, and the service wasn't too bad, but it's expensive. Breakfast disappears in an instant if you don't go early. It's okay for business, but I don't think it's suitable for couples or families.

Bed Bugs — The most serious problem: bed bugs were found and confirmed with certified photos of the bites. This is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. I sent an email to complain: no response to date. No hot water — I had to go to reception four times in two days to ask for the hot water to be turned on again. Absurd. Constant noise — The proximity to the subway may seem like an advantage, but in practice you can hear and feel the vibrations in the room. The soundproofing is insufficient: even neighbors can be clearly heard. Room — Small, dark, and unattractive. Breakfast — Meager, served in an unpleasant room in the basement. Only positive point — The reception staff is friendly. A 4-star rating is completely unjustified given these conditions. I strongly advise against staying at the Montebianco Makinba in Milan and reserve the right to forward photographic evidence to the relevant authorities if my complaint remains unanswered.
