Park Hotel Sonnenhof

Hotel Sonnenhof was quite alright. The rooms were nice. The chocolates were a nice touch. The dog had treats. However, the service was mediocre. When we asked for a table in the evening, they told us it was full, and as hotel guests, we were expected to have one. Otherwise, the location is good, as you can see all over Vaduz.

I recently spent two nights at the Park Hotel Sonnenhof, and it proved to be a remarkably comfortable and tranquil retreat. Visiting in July, the town below was quite hot and glaring, but the hotel's elevated mountain position provided a refreshing, cool climate throughout the stay. A practical tip for those arriving by car: Google Maps can be slightly misleading. The navigation may instruct you to stop at "Parking Lot 2" and walk the rest of the way. However, you should ignore this and continue driving further up the hill, which leads directly to the main parking area right at the hotel entrance. Relying solely on the GPS might leave you a bit disoriented upon arrival. The property itself carries a certain historic charm; while you can tell the building has been around for some time, the upkeep is absolutely meticulous. Every corner was spotless without a single speck of dust, and all the facilities were in perfect working order. The atmosphere is distinctly lively, particularly in the restaurant which was pleasantly bustling, yet the staff remained consistently gracious and attentive to detail. The Moroccan-style swimming pool is a beautiful highlight, featuring pristine water and a deeply relaxing ambiance. However, there is a slight area for operational improvement regarding the wellness facilities. Guests are required to notify reception to use the sauna, but when I went down at 8:00 AM, the area was completely unattended and the sauna was turned off, making it impossible to use. Streamlining this morning access or keeping the sauna on during early hours would greatly enhance the guest experience. Despite this minor inconvenience, the impeccable maintenance, vibrant dining, and serene mountain setting make this a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend.

Beautiful rooms with potential for improvement in service and dining: We are currently spending a few days at the Hotel Sonnenhof. The rooms are attractive, but the bathrooms are showing their age. The service is always polite, but currently limited to the essentials. The evening dining situation presents a slight challenge: Since the restaurant is very popular – also with many non-hotel guests – it is difficult for hotel guests to get a table spontaneously. Often, the only alternative is room service, which is somewhat inconvenient in a standard double room or in rainy weather, as it's difficult to flexibly end the evening at the bar or on the terrace. Due to the restaurant's popularity, parking for hotel guests is also sometimes a bit tight.

A wonderful place, it's like you're in another realm.

Super hotel in the middle of the nature with a nice wiew of the castel of Lichtenstein. Good place to be . Expensive but great !

Dear Sonnenhof Team, we would like to thank you for the wonderful stay. The vacation was simply INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The peace and quiet, the beauty of the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But what surprised us most was THE ENTIRE STAFF! The cleaning staff, the reception, the housekeeper, the service staff, the kitchen, the owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE was ABSOLUTELY 200% every one of you REALLY gives 200% for the guest!!!!!!!!!! Top hotel, especially the suites with garden access, which are very nice and right next to the pool. Thank you also for the excellent service!

What a lovely stay! Somehow they managed to provide "5-star" service, while still giving a friendly, family-style "bed & breakfast" vibe. My room was quite small, but still comfortable and well-equipped. But wow, the view! Sitting on the small balcony listening to the birds while taking in the incredible view made my stay memorable. By all means, be sure to RSVP for dinner - you will not regret it!

The restaurant was top-notch, the location is great, beautiful view of the mountains, but the rooms are small and not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel. The prices, on the other hand, are 5-star plus.
