Holiday Inn Express Almere by IHG

My stay at the Holiday Inn Almere was anything but relaxing. Part of the hotel is used for COA accommodation, something that was not clear beforehand. As a result, there was a very different atmosphere than one would expect from a hotel. There was loud banging and noise disturbance coming from the floors above me all day long. Additionally, many residents were staying in the hotel lounge, making it feel crowded and restless. There were also supervisors present, but I did not get the impression that much was being done about the disturbance. I would not be quick to book here again if I were looking for a quiet hotel stay.

The breakfast was wonderful, with a wide selection, delicious food and drinks, always quickly replenished with consumables. I really liked that we could leave our luggage there after checking out the same day. The room was equipped with everything, but the fridge was sometimes missing. Overall, I am satisfied with the accommodation.

Ideal for getting train to Amsterdam and other regions, regular trains on time. Hotel itself, when we arrived we noticed what l could only describe as refugees sat immediately outside hotel and within lobby. Playing football and chilling basically. Whilst some nights were quiet there was nights of shouting Police regularly drive past keeping an eye. The whole feel changed. It felt like a hostel. Not the boys fault where they end up but as a paying customer l expected a hotel feel to be honest. Room was clean, view was good bed was fabulous 👌 Wish we could of used the bar area and cafe there but felt we was kinda not welcome due to boys taking over entrance lobby areas.

Very clean and safe hotel. I would choose Holiday Inn Almere again.

Clean, tidy, friendly service, but it's a bit outside the city center; a train line passes in front of it for city access, you can get to Central Center with a single train ride.

Kappatur is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in.

Helpful and pleasant staff, varied and good buffet, comfortable and quiet standard room, but cleaning done and towels changed only once in 5 days!

Nice clean rooms & a restaurant located next door. Friendly staff, particularly Yesim. She was so helpful sorting out bike storage on our cycling tour.👏
