The only real advantage of this hotel is its location — it’s in the city center and convenient for getting around. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The price-to-quality ratio was very disappointing. For the amount paid, I expected a much better experience. The biggest issue was the bathroom: there was such a terrible smell coming from the shower area that I honestly couldn’t even take a proper shower comfortably. It made the room experience really unpleasant. The hotel wasn’t terrible overall, but for this price I expected much better standards. Location alone is not enough to justify staying here.
Near the city center
We had a room facing the street. The windows are not that sound proof, so you hear people talking on the street and the trams passing well. Eventhough our room was on third floor.
I stayed here in march 2026 for a work conference in oslo. I think the hotel had been recently refurbished and re-opened only a month before. Reception area is lovely and the lounge area downstairs is great. 5/5 for that. I didn't get the breakfast, I thought it was too expensive even for Oslo standards since there was a nice cafe a 2 min walk down the street. Room was good, pretty decent size (maybe because I had a room that was at the corner of the hotel), clean, bed comfy, bathroom was lovely and had heated flooring. TV had netflix. A little bit of tram noise even at the 4th floor. Maybe better insulation could be done at the next refurbishment. My safe didn't work on arrival, the first staff member I told didn't seem to interested in it and brushed it off saying he'd tell the maintenance guy but I don't think he did. The second staff member was great. I can't remember his name but he had an American accent and he told me his parents lived in Tromso, he tried his best to sort my safe out but couldn't, he was very accommodating asking if I wanted a new room but I told him it was ok. He really was a delight of your team and over the next few days we chatted a bit more and he was always very friendly. The location of the hotel is great, for the price I paid (avg £68/ night) I really could not complain for Oslo prices. I would stay here again.
The hotel basically has everything you need. It's a low-service hotel, meaning it's essentially staff-free. We didn't have housekeeping, which was fine for three days – but the trash wasn't emptied, and toilet paper could run low. The price-performance ratio is okay for a breakie. Tea or coffee and a sandwich were included, but that was about it. We were unlucky enough to have a room on the ground floor facing the front, so the noise from outside was terrible. Opening the window wasn't an option, and there was no air conditioning. Otherwise, it's a well-maintained hotel with small but adequate rooms. The location is excellent.
