✓ Relaciones del mismo sexo legales ✗ Matrimonio igualitario ✓ Eventos del Orgullo ⚖️ Homosexuality has been legal in Poland since 1932, and as an EU member Poland is bound by EU anti-discrimination rules in employment. There is still no domestic civil partnership or marriage law — the 2025 civil-partnership bill was vetoed by President Nawrocki in July 2026, despite record public support (62%, CBOS 2025) — however, following the 2025 European Court of Justice ruling, Poland's Supreme Administrative Court ordered in March 2026 that same-sex marriages lawfully concluded in other EU states must be recognized. The last of the so-called "LGBT-free zones" was abolished in April 2025, and legal gender recognition procedures were simplified in March 2025. Warsaw, Kraków and other major cities have open, active LGBTQ+ scenes; the Warsaw Equality Parade is Central Europe's largest Pride, drawing tens of thousands each June. Rural and eastern regions remain more conservative and call for some discretion.
