Društvo ŠKUC (Magnus / Roza klub)

Društvo ŠKUC (Študentski kulturni center) is one of the oldest and most important LGBTQ+ organisations in the region. Its gay-activist section Magnus (founded 1984) and lesbian section Roza klub / LL (1987, the first lesbian group in Eastern Europe) pioneered queer organising in the former Yugoslavia. Based at Stari trg 21 in the Old Town, ŠKUC runs cultural programmes, the ŠKUC Gallery and long-standing LGBTQ+ community work, and is closely tied to the Metelkova venues.
