Refuel Bar & Terrace

Refuel is the Benidorm gay scene's daytime outpost: a cafe-bar on Calle San Pedro above the Poniente side of the old town, with a large sun terrace and the sea views that the village bars, buried in their narrow streets, simply cannot offer. Reviewers call it the best beach-view gay bar in town, and there is not much competition for the title. The kitchen runs all day - English breakfasts, snacks and proper lunches from morning to late evening - with cocktails and drinks carrying on after the food winds down. The pace is deliberately unhurried: this is where the scene recovers from last night rather than starts the next one. Its location on the harbour side puts it a short walk from the Old Town triangle, making the natural rhythm obvious: Refuel by day, Santa Faz by night.
