Scandic Örebro Central

Nice hotel in the middle of central Örebro. Clean and tidy, friendly staff and fresh breakfast

Very good Scandic near train. Good service and good breakfast!

Central location with ample parking opportunities.

There is a TV in the room (117). The batteries in the remote control were dead when I got to the room. It was certainly resolved when I contacted the reception. Much worse is that you can only watch scheduled TV on the TV according to the reception. Who even watches scheduled TV these days? I want to be able to use the HDMI sockets on the TV to watch my own content. It is unbelievable that Scandic, according to the reception, no longer offers that option. It doesn't get any better than the price of the stay, which is quite high. Even when Scandic removed breakfast, it was reason for me to choose another hotel chain. Now I have another reason to choose Scandic, and recommend all my colleagues to do the same. Scandic is truly on a downward trend straight into the abyss.

Quite ok facilities and fresh

Nice hotel with good breakfast,,,but very hot in the room.

No hotel parking, you have to park at public parking, and the parking lots were divided by 4 different zones with three companies...

I stayed here 3/22-3/27 and 3/29-4/2 this year. The rooms were clean and the location is unbeatable if you're traveling. I realized I forgot my trainers (Reebok Nano X) the day after I checked out the first week. I figured I'd be back there in a few days anyway, so I didn't call. I check in again on Sunday, before the second week, and ask about my shoes but they're nowhere to be found. Not in the lost-and-found box, anyway. I get a different room and move back in. I went by the reception a few times during my stay to ask if they'd heard/seen anything and also called the reception from my room when I realized I could have put them in a cupboard that they might have missed looking in the old room. The person I spoke to would always check with their colleagues or pass on my thoughts to the next person, who never knew anything when I went down to ask; and then it was back to square one. It is possible that I may have been labeled a “difficult” customer. After 3 or 4 days I was allowed to go into the room with someone and have a look myself, but of course they were not there. I gave up, but the feeling of being perceived as a nuisance grew even more when on the last evening I called the internal number to the reception from my room to order food, but got no answer, despite 3 attempts. The communication line is supposed to be open 24/7. In short: nice and fresh rooms with a good location, but it will be difficult for me to return there.

We stayed in a double room which was clean, fresh and modern. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection and a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. There is free coffee and tea in the reception 24 hours a day, which you can drink on site or take away. On the entrance floor there is also a bar and restaurant and the possibility of buying lighter snacks. The location is good, close to Örebro central station and about 20 minutes walk through nice neighborhoods into the city center. The hotel also has a gym, and it is quiet with little noise from other rooms. The staff was nice and helpful throughout the stay. I would happily book here again – a very good experience.
