The Imperial Hotel

I spent one night at the Imperial hotel. The room was good and spatious, with a comfortable and clean bed. However we couldn't open the window to get some fresh air. The bathroom seemed fine at the first glance. When looking closely, the floor wasn't clean at all, neither the mirror or shower curtain. Underneath the radiator, there was a green stain ( water leakage) which needed to be cleaned as well. On a more positive side, the breakfast was really good. We had dinner in the lounge bar and the food was simple but very good, service was quick and good.

Excellent place to stay for a couple of days to explore Blackpool .

Absolutely impossible to get through to anyone. They don't answer on Reception via the phone number and Reservations don't answer either, just a very annoying loop of music and press 1 etc. I'm trying to book but it's pointless. Been trying for 3 days. The online booking just keeps crashing.

We recently stayed at the The Imperial Hotel Blackpool over the Bank Holiday weekend as a group of 12 women, and from start to finish everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful, with such a lovely atmosphere, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every single member of the team was warm, welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us all feel so looked after throughout the entire weekend. The service was fantastic in every way — professional, attentive, and always delivered with a smile. Organising a trip for a large group can sometimes be stressful, but the staff made everything effortless, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy ourselves. We had the most amazing time making memories together, and the wonderful environment at the hotel played a huge part in that. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone at the Imperial Hotel for such a special stay — highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely awful experience. Rooms 357 and 260. Hotel staff seemed uninterested from the moment we arrived, which immediately set the tone for the stay. We arrived and the room was nothing like the photographs advertised online. It was tiny, extremely outdated and looked like it hadn’t been maintained since the 1980s. I’m asthmatic and the room had a horrible smell of concrete dust which made it genuinely uncomfortable to stay in. Everything in the room was covered in dust, giving the impression it either hadn’t been cleaned properly or had been left deteriorating for years. A lot of things that had clearly been broken had simply been crudely screwed back together using makeshift blocks of wood rather than being repaired properly, which looked terrible and felt very unsafe and unprofessional. We requested to move rooms and were moved to an accessible room. While this room didn’t have the concrete dust smell, it had a strong damp smell instead. The second room was still in very poor condition. The carpet was badly worn, the curtain rail was broken, the shower had visible mould and the seal around the shower was hanging away and leaking badly onto the bathroom floor. There was no air conditioning, room and upper floors were like saunas, only a fan provided, but the room only had one usable socket meaning we couldn’t charge our phones while using the fan. Window held shut by a small block of wood crudely screwed into place. I see some people claiming the rooms aren't out dated and are suited to the hotels time period...that's fair....so if you want to look at the photos of the famous people who stayed here 30 years ago and imagine them sitting in the dusty worn and dirty chair in your room... then this place is for you. After the first night, the room wasn’t serviced or made up at all. Because the shower leaked everywhere, we had to use the towels to stop water flooding across the floor. We rang reception requesting fresh towels but none were ever delivered, leaving two people sharing one small towel. Breakfast, service good, fatty overcooked bacon and really well done sausages. Overall this has been an extremely disappointing stay. The condition of the rooms, lack of maintenance and poor service have been completely unacceptable. Atleast there's a tram stop at the front door so you can get away from this disaster as fast as possible without delay!

Hotel is NOT as described or pictured on website - pictures show rooms with modern furniture - was not the case - room was stuck in the 1960's - website states individual heat and cooling controls - was not the case - rooms do not have air conditioning, could not turn off 2 radiators, hotel staff could not turn off radiators - room was a sauna - staff told me to just open a window - asked to speak with Hotel Manager - was told i would be contacted by email - did not happen - claims to be 4 star hotel - actually 1 star at best

The experience my partner and I had here was second to none, the staff where amazing the room was good and the sea few was amazing. The breakfast has been one of the best I have had yet and their coffee has yet to be beaten.

We had a lovely stay the hotel is beautiful old buildings yes could do with a bit of update but this would take away the history of the hotel all staff were lovely nothing to much trouble really enjoyed our stay will be back again x
