Old Nunshead

Wagwarn generals. Explaining my experience in the Old Nunshead is rather difficult, but if I was to try I would say it was like walking into an old school disco with like minded souls and beer replacing the j20s (this should be taken as a great compliment) - would have been great to see some knee sliding-space however.🙀😾👿. Sweet nectar was a reasonable price and despite not tucking in myself, the odour from la pizza was rather delightful as it tickled its way through my nasal passage😋🤪🍕 Proper classic pub, no messing about. No bog roll. Plastic beer cups. Outdoor foosball table. Big screen for Jude and his girthtastic pecker, no HD quality necessary. Outdoor screening for the match could’ve enhanced this pubs performance, but the inside cavalry squishfest did create a great atmosphere that could’ve turned any small vulnerable non-fan into a full blown german bomber vocalist.🥸😮‍💨👹👶

Lovely old pub rebuilt in the 19th century but kept some older features…old fireplace upstairs.

A bunch of cuties with good music taste! A great independent space for the LGBTQ+ community, they give you ice and a glass with your white claw, they know how to pull a good Guinness, and the outside areas are fab. Food is stunnin, vibes are stunnin, all round stunnin. Loves it.

Staff was very friendly and the decorations and vibes were really lovely. Food and drink came out quickly as well, we came on a Sunday around 4PM though so I'm unsure what it would be like on a busy evening. I've only docked a star for food purely due to a dietary restriction element of myself being gluten-free. I've mentioned it in the dietary restrictions part of the review but essentially having the same price of the roast lamb despite the only difference (from my understanding at least) being two less elements was a bit of a bummer and something to be aware of. However, overall a good experience and would recommend!

We love it here. Dog and child friendly, great food, wonderful vibes, it’s a local gem
