Bit dated this hotel, breakfast was poor. Was best option to get a layover
I would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel is extremely large, and walking from one end to the other is a real inconvenience. Despite the hotel being far from full, I was assigned a room at the very end of the property and on a basement-level floor. Every time I went downstairs, there was a noticeable damp and musty smell. What disappointed me most happened after check-out. Shortly after leaving, I realized I had forgotten my phone charger and cable in the room. I returned to the hotel immediately and reported it to reception. The staff took me to the lost property area and even back to my room, but the items were nowhere to be found. I was told that the housekeeper was not there and that if anything had been found, it would have been handed in. Unfortunately, I had left a relatively new and expensive charger in the room, and I am absolutely certain it was there when I checked out. While I cannot prove what happened to it, the fact that it disappeared within such a short time after I left raises serious concerns. The hotel itself was not terrible, but it certainly was not good enough to justify this experience. Between the poor room allocation, the unpleasant smell, and the missing personal property, I have no intention of staying here again and cannot recommend it to others.
Not the cleanest of places, tables where sticky and full off empty glasses, the floor could do with a clean, toilets could also do with cleaning, we didn’t finish our drinks and left.
We recently had our wedding at the Grand Hotel Seaburn, and it was truly an unforgettable day from start to finish. The location is absolutely incredible, with stunning surroundings that made the perfect backdrop for our special day. The venue itself is beautiful, elegant, and professionally run, while the service we received throughout the entire process was exceptional. A huge thank you must go to our wedding coordinator, Leanne. She was simply the best. From the planning stages right through to the wedding day, she was professional, supportive, organised, and always there to help with anything we needed. Her dedication and attention to detail made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to guide us through such an important occasion. We genuinely couldn't recommend getting married here highly enough. The Grand Hotel Seaburn provided us with memories that will last a lifetime, and we are so grateful to everyone involved in making our day so special. On a personal note, Leanne, thank you for everything. We appreciate all of your hard work, kindness, and support more than words can say. We are genuinely sad that it's all over, and we will miss you dearly. You played such an important part in our journey, and we will always be thankful for everything you did for us.
Lovely stay taking advantage of their special deal, bed, breakfast and evening meal, bottle of prosecco and free parking for £139. Needless to say we'll be booking again
Sea view rooms great ,lots of cafes ,restaurants close by lovely walk along sea front ,river etc
