Marcha del Orgullo La Paz

At 3,600 metres, La Paz hosts the world's highest-altitude Pride — the Marcha del Orgullo winds down El Prado each late June, 20 editions strong, with Aymara cholitas trans activists and the Familia Galan drag pioneers who made Bolivian queer performance famous marching side by side. After the march, the city's one openly gay club, Open Mind on Calle Cochabamba, runs its Queens drag show into the small hours. Bring a jacket; the altitude bites even in the Pride glow.
