La Casa Verde

I went to La Casa Verde for lunch and loved the experience. From the moment I arrived, Marcelo was very kind and attentive. I was greeted with complimentary sopaipillas, which were delicious. The menu had few options, but I'm one of those people who thinks less is more when the dishes are well thought out. There was shredded beef and also gnocchi with shredded beef; I liked that they used such a classic Chilean ingredient to create different dishes. Overall, I felt that the menu brought together some of the best of Chile, with both surf and turf: salmon, clams and scallops with Parmesan, shrimp in garlic and olive oil, fish, and shredded beef. I ordered the gnocchi with shredded beef. The beef was so tender you could cut it with a fork, and the sauce was flavorful, not at all acidic, with the cooked vegetables perfectly integrated. I also tried the shrimp in garlic and olive oil: they were cooked to perfection and came with a green sauce served on the side. It's not the most typical combination, and that's precisely why I liked it. It's nice to find something surprising, and since it's served separately, it lets you decide if you want to try it. I did, and it was delicious. The mango juice deserves a special mention: it was truly made from the pulp, thick, and bursting with mango flavor. Lately, I've had the experience of ordering natural juices that end up tasting more like water and sugar than fruit; this was the complete opposite. Everything I tried was worth it. You can tell the care put into the cooking and the service. I would definitely go back.

Chef and other staff were very welcoming and kind. The chef was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free.

After a long day of exploring, we stopped by for an early dinner before they closed at 18:30. We enjoyed the delicious Machas à la Parmesana and Quinoa Acevichada with an amazing view. ¡Gracias!

Friendly, cheerful people, always ready to help and make sure you have a great time. Live music with the girl singing while she cooks 😄 a real find... 😇 And the food was good—tasty, reasonably priced, and just the right portion. A pleasant surprise I hadn't experienced before. A lovely afternoon that paused to linger. Honest food with a homemade touch.

The place is amazing—so beautiful, the view, the warmth of the staff. The atmosphere is fantastic. The food is delicious, with great flavor. The clams with Parmesan are excellent. I think the only downside is that they didn't have fresh fish; instead, they had salmon and tuna that aren't local.

Simply delicious!! And the service is very friendly. The clams with Parmesan are their star dish, but the gnocchi with shredded beef are also excellent! Don't miss it!
