Sonesta Hotel Posadas Del Inca Puno

Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel staff were always very attentive and helpful. We celebrated my husband's birthday, and they made several very special gestures for him 💜. They made us feel very comfortable and truly well taken care of throughout our stay. It was definitely a wonderful experience ☺️.

Prime location on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

The Sonesta Hotel Del Inca Puno is located directly on Lake Titicaca with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent. The rooms are clean, but the 1960s concrete style and rather brutalist furnishings make them feel somewhat inelegant. The desk was worn. The food was good, with a decent selection of dishes. However, the prices are higher than in Arequipa and comparable to 5-star hotels in Cusco. All in all, the hotel is okay, but not exactly beautiful, although the staff is top-notch.

A very special person to me got altitude sickness and I was far away, they took a really good care of her. I wanted to send some small detail and the staff helped mi out, I am great full that they made my request happen since I was more that 2000 miles away. Thanks so much to everyone specially Karen C.

A pleasant experience

Hotel is located about 10-15 min from train station , our travel agency booked us here for 2 nights. The Hotel is right on the lake with its own private pier so if you have a tour of the lake planned its quite handy and less stress. As you are doing tours most days its nice to return and relax in the bar area and have a drink , with a cozy fire. The rooms are spacious ask for a lake view. Its a bit older on the room side but we had no issues , beds were comfortable and thats the main thing after travelling alot. The main town is a taxi ride away , or you can eat at their restaurant, we had the pleasure of Santiago serving us who is super friendly and attentive. The staff in general are very good and I would recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Puna , added the sunset views from their garden are amazing. Well done

The rooms here are a bit dated and feel like one of the older properties in the hotel group, but don't let that put you off. The overall experience was actually very positive. The highlight for us was the massive lawn outside. We were traveling with a group and spent our mornings there exercising and doing Tai Chi—it was a fantastic vibe! There are also a few alpacas roaming around. The staff member looking after them was incredibly friendly and great at interacting with the guests. The restaurant and dining area are also quite nice. While the building itself could use a bit of a refresh, the service and the outdoor space make it a place I’d still recommend if you're staying in Puno. It’s a very relaxing spot!

A wonderful gem on Lake Titicaca with everything you need. The hotel is very quiet, located away from the center, which is easily accessible by taxi or on foot. Breakfast and the food in the restaurant were excellent. A highlight, of course, are the alpacas and guinea pigs in the garden 🦙

Tourist area and a nice place to stay

A hotel directly on the lake, about 5-10 mins by taxi from town. The rooms are big and clean(ish) albeit seen better years. The staff is very attentive, pleasant and willing to accommodate you. You can enjoy the grazing alpacas and cuy in front of the hotel.

When I traveled there in 2016, I found it to be a hotel far removed from noise and air pollution. In addition, the staff provided us with oxygen tanks while we acclimatized to the altitude. I hope none of this has changed, so they can maintain their high standards.
