Gay-owned luxury hotel (Tryst Hospitality, Tristan Schukraft) in the long-empty Abbey Hotel building at the foot of the Amapas hill, opened October 2024: about 50 rooms, rooftop pool and bar, a second pool with swim-up bar and hot tub, a lift (rare here), two minutes from Playa Los Muertos and next door to Garbo. Not men-only; adults-only in practice. Reports that visitors are not admitted to rooms after dark come from a single source, so ask when booking. Rates roughly USD 220–480 before tax; USD 300 deposit per stay.
