Downtown Inn & Suites

I’ve stayed at this location before and had no issues at all. Considering Asheville is very popular with local shows and events this was a great location. Very basic hotel with all your needs and rooms were clean. However, they suddenly don’t offer booking to “locals”. I live over an hour away in a different county. It wasn’t an issue before. Extremely disappointed and won’t recommend this stay to anyone in the future.

Excellent location for downtown Asheville at an inexpensive price. Our room was clean and well maintained. So many places were accessible by walking. Noise was the only draw back. We had a small problem with noise one night around 11:30 PM on the balcony outside of the room. One phone call to the front desk and all was quiet. Our room was on the Patton Avenue side, any street traffic could be heard. That was loud at times (motorcycles and loud trucks and cars).

I live an hour away and they canceled my reservation because they still consider that a “local” and they don’t rent to locals.

Pretty good view and relatively firm beds. Okay breakfast!

Modern touches, but rooms feel dated. Good amenities, service. The staff is wonderful. Heart of downtown, very great location! Staff are very friendly and helpful!

The room was dated and stunk , absolutely horrible parking, there website took a credit card but still had to pay in person which was a big hassle, nominal breakfast no house keeping when staying multiple nights , bedding was horrible no blanket and could watch TV through the bedspread . Will never return , many other cheaper hotels in the area that are alot better with better rates .

Came here with one of my buddy, we were denied access and was not given a reason why. Kept saying “ we’re privately owned and we can deny access to anyone”. A resident overheard and told us this seems discriminatory and we should file a lawsuit. UPDATE: They said me and my family have been bombarding with negative reviews because we didnt get " our way ". If people visiting this place could take a look at all the previous reviews from a number of visitors spanning in different time of the year, you can clearly see that they were also denied accommodation citing the same reasons as ours. Shameful behavior from the Management.

Our favorite hotel to stay at :) so many places in walking distance and dog friendly :)

Our room was clean and comfortable, it wasn't a new building, but still seemed I good repair. People were friendly. Breakfast was continental with waffle irons. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in town. We'd stay again here again.
