About the workshop:
it’s not a question of becoming something else*
Or is it? In this generative two hour workshop, we will explore the borders of our lives by looking at selections from trans and gender non-conforming poets, and employing their words as prompts for our own writing. No prior writing experience necessary!
*from Luka Holmegaard’s “The Ocean in Your Mouth,” translated from the Danish by Sophia Hersi Smith & Jennifer Russell, included in Splendor: Trans Poets, a new anthology published by Two Lines Press.
What to expect:
– This class is exclusively for trans & gender non-conforming writers. Please do not register for this class if you are not trans/ gender non-conforming. No prior writing experience necessary!
– Attendees will have the opportunity to build community with other trans writers in Atlanta
– Attendees of this class are invited to join as readers for our monthly open mic on Wednesday, September 16th at 7:30pm ET
– All attendees will receive $25 for their participation
