Rooms slightly updated. Cleaned but you can tell it was rushed. Location is ok but not a lot of options nearby. Pot smell in hallways. Tight on cash, maybe stay here? Kinda a meh hotel.

I suppose I'd give this 3.5 stars out of five. The location is prime right off of 94. Lot's of places around for whatever you need, either a walk or short drive away. This is obviously an older hotel but nonetheless the rooms are updated and the bed was comfortable. Having only stayed for one night I had limited customer service experiences but I would call it neutral. So really no issues here except with the outside of the building where garbage cans were in desperate need of emptying and foliage/aesthetics are definitely not a priority. The shower water was a little week but serviceable. I would have no problem staying here again for what amounts to a budget price.

The room was great, and I really enjoyed the free breakfast. The woman at the front desk in the morning was also very friendly and helpful. However, I did not have a good experience with the front desk guy member working the afternoon shift. He came across as unfriendly and asked questions in a harsh manner, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Aside from that, my overall experience at the hotel was positive.

Staff was friendly. My room was clean. Check in was easy.

We stayed here for a night while driving cross country. Staff were very friendly, rooms were comfortable, room for our pets. We paid a pet fee. Breakfast was decent. Rate was comparable to other hotels in the area.

I’ve stayed at America’s Best Value Inn & Suites in Bismarck multiple times, including extended company-paid stays in October 2025. Those visits were genuinely great—rooms were clean, breakfast was solid, and billing through my employer was handled smoothly. Staff, especially the morning shift at the front desk, were professional and easy to work with. It’s the reason I came back and have recommended this location. My most recent experience in early April 2026 was very different. I called ahead to check in using the same company billing setup that had worked previously. The phone interaction was already difficult—repeated requests for the same information and a noticeably dismissive tone. When I arrived, the situation escalated. During check-in, I was told that the prior way my stays had been handled should not have happened and that the employee who assisted me before may face consequences for it. That was surprising, as those prior stays were fully paid and properly handled. I also want to note that during this conversation, when I explained I was returning specifically because of prior good experiences, I was told: “on behalf of me and my family, if you’d like to find another place to stay, that would be fine with us.” That stood out as unprofessional, especially for a returning guest with a documented history at the property. I was still willing to proceed with the stay, but the quoted total was significantly higher than both prior stays and publicly available rates. Because of that discrepancy, I chose not to complete the booking at the desk. I was able to book the same stay independently at a much lower rate. To be clear, the property itself is not the issue—it’s relatively clean, comfortable, and has been a good place to stay in the past. This seems to be a consistency and front desk management issue rather than a hotel-wide problem. I’m leaving this review because I know this location can provide a good experience based on prior stays, and I hope management takes a closer look at how returning guests and established company accounts are handled going forward.

Good rate and good breakfast. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, and many other options. Not many places offer that, at this price point.

While it's being slightly remodeled, the rooms are quaint and comfortable. Very middle of Bismarck, close to everything.

Spent one night. There are some renovations being done at this time. My room was clean, had everything I needed. Continental breakfast was adequate. Plenty of parking for pickups with trailers. No complaints.
