We have some massive news! To celebrate and uplift our rapidly growing community across central and western Massachusetts, the traditional Boston Bear Contest has officially evolved. We are proud to present the inaugural Massachusetts Bear 2027 Contest this October 9th and 10th at The Alley Bar in Boston!
Here is how the historic weekend breaks down:
• Friday, October 9 (8:00 PM): Contestant Meet & Greet. Get a first look and chat with this year's contestants in a relaxed, casual setting. There is absolutely no cover for Friday night's event.
• Saturday, October 10 (7:00 PM): The Main Event. The energy turns up Saturday night. Arrive at 7:00 PM for a high octane warmup party featuring go go Bears and live entertainment. At 9:00 PM, co-host Dave Sawyer takes the stage to kick off the official titleholder contest, celebrating the unique talents and backgrounds of our community members before crowning the Massachusetts Bear 2027 winner.
