The Camp at Carmel Valley

*WEDDING VENUE REVIEW* We fell in love with the camp the moment we stepped onto its grounds, but we could've never dreamt of how magical our wedding day turned out to be. The camp is an absolute dream and the camp director, David, was such a joy to work with in preparing for our big day -- he's incredibly accommodating, attentive, flexible, and kind -- as is, all of the camp staff who assisted with the check-in process. For us, the communal aspect of our wedding weekend was a top priority, as was being in nature, so being able to host our wedding at a glampground where all our friends and family could stay on site and hang out with us/each other meant the world to us. it was even more special than we had hoped it would be! truly every one of our guests has told us this was the best wedding they'd ever been to and we know everyone being able to stay on the campgrounds was such a huge part of that. it felt like our own mini summer camp and everyone had the BEST time. if you're considering this venue i definitely encourage you to visit or stay for a weekend!!! the pictures don't do it justice. it's such a special place and by far the best decision we made in planning our wedding xo

We love glamping at the Camp at Carmel Valley. The views are beautiful, the activities are fun, and we enjoy the cabins as an elevated alternative to tent camping, while still being sufficiently rustic to feel as if you are still a part of nature. Plus, the camp is dog friendly which is great for us. Finally, we love how close it is to town, with cute shops and restaurants, and wine tasting experiences in Carmel Valley.

If there was a Camp Valley in every place I travel to, I’d stay there every single time! I loved everything about it, the experience was excellent from start to finish.

Overpriced and Misleading. We stayed at the Archer House with family for $600/night and left deeply disappointed. If you can’t keep the property clean and functional, it shouldn’t be open during “quiet time.” Nearly all on-site activities were unusable — the pool and lounge chairs were filthy with bird droppings and debris, pickleball equipment was broken, and the table tennis net was ripped. We ended up driving elsewhere (and paying more) for family activities. The photos and descriptions on the website paint a very different picture from reality.

Our family visited The Camp during the weekdays in summer and there was no staff to clean the pool or maintenance the cabin. Due to lack of staff, we were not allowed to use fire pit, pool was too dirty, dishwasher was broken, one of main cabin light was out, and when we called to an on-site staff to change the bulb, we never heard back. Might worth money for a camp site with nice sport courts but for $600 per night cabin, they didn't provide enough support during our stay.

Exceptional private retreat for events. We hosted a 60 person family reunion for a weekend in August and there were activities for every age group. It has a national park lodge feel with basic bus comfortable accommodations. The staff worked quietly behind the scenes and tended to our every need. Hiking on property as well as archery, a pool, pickle ball courts, tennis courts and more! There are multiple rooms to host events including space for business meetings and a yoga studio. The rescue donkeys were fun to meet, as well. Thank you David & Angie for the memorable stay!

That was an awesome experience for us. It's not too crowded like a lot of other places in California. There's tons of space, with a pool, tennis court, basketball court, a beautiful landscape, and even a barn with cute donkeys. Plus, you can do archery and yoga here. It's a great place for the kids. The service was great, too. Everyone there was super polite and nice. We'll definitely be back!

Great location for multi-family group vacation! Food was fantastic, activities were low key and wonderful, staff were super responsive to lots of questions leading up to our dates. We loved being able to have cabins all right by each other with plenty of communal space to spend time together. We would love to go back!

We had a magical time at Camp! Was impressed with how well they took care of us (like taking all our stuff in a golf cart from our car to our cabin!), we opted to pay for meals, and I loved that they handled the fire pits for s'mores each night. We had a big group and it was such a fun experience. Our kids loved the pool, archery, tie dye, pickleball, donkeys, and more. Would be a great place for something like a family reunion :) Thank you David & Angie!

Super fun time at a glamping weekend at The Camp at Carmel Valley. Staff are really warm and inviting (thanks David!). The live music one evening was really wonderful and all the different daytime activities were so fun and easy to join in on. We especially loved our archery lesson, the pickleball courts and just running around the property. Close to good hiking and wine tasting. Property is rustic but super clean. Our two families with young kids had a perfect long weekend and look forward to going again!

Stunning views and a beautiful camp

If you are looking for the most uniquely fun wedding venue, look no further!! Camp Carmel Valley is hands down the best choice!! As a a wedding planner myself, I have seen a lot- and I can confidently say that choosing Camp as our wedding venue was the best choice we could have made for so many reasons! From the very beginning my husband and I knew we wanted our wedding to be more than just a one day event and I wanted it to be like no other wedding that any of our guests had ever been to. My goal was for all of my guests to feel taken care of the entire weekend with fun activities and lots of love, so when we found Camp it felt like the perfect option for us! Obviously Camp Carmel Valley is absolutely STUNNING, with gorgeous oak trees and Spanish moss, how could you not fall in love with the scenery?! It is such a unique venue with the most quaint cabins, and great facilities throughout the entire venue. Although the beauty of Camp is hard to compete with, the main reason our wedding was so incredible is because of their camp manager David!!! I don’t even know where to begin with how incredible David was throughout our entire wedding weekend. From the moment we arrived at the camp, it was clear that we were in great hands, but we could never have predicted just how much David and the rest of the CCV team would go above and beyond. When unexpected issues arose, David swooped in like a true superhero- literally saving the day. He handled everything with such grace, professionalism, and total calmness that it honestly felt like nothing was too big of a challenge. Seriously, my wedding weekend would not have been successful without David, and I am eternally grateful for everything he did. I had the most amazing time because of him. I went into that weekend worried that I would be playing the role of both the wedding planner and the bride, but David ensured that everything was handled to perfection, so I could just enjoy! Every guest felt taken care of, and we had the time of our lives, all thanks to David’s expertise and dedication. It truly felt like David and his team were 100% committed to making our day perfect, and we felt so supported throughout the entire planning process. If you're looking for a wedding venue that is not only absolutely stunning but has the BEST camp manager who will be your rock, your calm in the storm, and your secret weapon to making everything run smoothly, look no further.
