Charlotte Black Pride

Charlotte Black Pride is the city's Black LGBTQ+ Pride, a week of events each July run by the volunteer group of the same name, a sister organisation of Charlotte Pride. It marked its 20th year in 2025 with the theme "20 Years: Black & Bold" and a Saturday festival on 19 July at the West End Complex on West Trade Street.

The 2026 week ran from 12 to 18 July, with the festival at Camp Greene Park, according to WFAE. That year five corporate sponsors pulled out or cut their support, and the group appealed for donations to cover the gap.

The week usually falls in mid-July, about a month before Charlotte Pride. The 2027 dates had not been announced when we checked; charlotteblackpride.org posts them first.
