Catalina Kitchen and Bar

Catalina was a nice restaurant with a soothing vibe. The food was delicious and the customer-service was superb. I highly recommend you visit!

Absolutely delicious restaurant. Every single thing we got here including the drinks was incredible. You have to get the Parmesan truffle French fries and the meatballs.

If I could give this place a zero I would. It’s unfortunate that this restaurant looks so pretty inside and in the outside dining area, but the food is absolute trash. If you are thinking about going here, please don’t it’s expensive and you’re not gonna get the quality of food that you deserve spending that much money. Trust me don’t waste your time.

I look forward to seeing Matt and Corryn every Monday. They are the heart and soul of Catalina. Excellent service!

My girlfriends and I came to Catalina to celebrate my birthday and had the best experience!!! The food and ambiance was amazing as always, but what really impressed us was our waiter Patrick. He was attentive, kind, and made sure my birthday dinner was nothing short of amazing. I hope to be in his section every time I come back!

Good service with reservation, but food and vibe were hit-or-miss. ​Walked in last time and was told there’d be a 1.5-hour wait, so I made a reservation in advance this time. ​Whipped Burrata: Saw a lot of hype online, but it was a bit underwhelming. The burrata itself was quite bland, and the chili oil completely overpowered the other ingredients. ​Lobster & Shrimp Roll: The topping of lobster and shrimp felt a bit skimpy, as it was mostly padded with lettuce underneath. ​Double Smash Burger: Average. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either. ​The restaurant is quite noisy, making it difficult to hold a conversation. Overall, prices felt a bit steep for what you get.

Last night we found Catalina on TikTok and decided to try it for a special dinner before my daughter leaves for her freshman year at Chapel Hill…and it ended up being the perfect choice. I had my 1-year-old with us, so we requested the patio. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed, and let’s be real, toddlers are easier outdoors. 😰 We started with the whipped burrata and California deviled eggs. The burrata with the warm bread was incredible and am frankly disgusted with how much bread I ate bc…BREAD AND CHEESE IS LIFE. The deviled eggs were delicious too…I’m personally not an avocado-with-eggs person, but my daughter absolutely raved about them. I also ordered the strawberry basil sangria. It wasn’t very strong, but it was light, refreshing, and really good. For dinner, we ordered the seafood tagliatelle and my sister and daughter each got salads, plus buttered noodles for my toddler…as you can tell from the pics, she had her little hands on every plate lol😆 Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We finished with the most perfect crème brûlée and cappuccino. The food was delicious from beginning to end, but the service really made the experience. Our server and all the other staff were friendly, attentive, accommodating, and completely on top of things. When we left, the server chased me down the street with my validated parking ticket, which I appreciated so much! It is hard to find a restaurant that delivers great food, genuinely great service, and a comfortable family-friendly atmosphere all at once. Catalina did exactly that. We cannot wait to come back and try brunch!

Lovely ambiance, great service, and thoughtful touches! ​We recently dined at Catalina Kitchen and Bar and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. ​Reserving a table through Tock was completely seamless and ready right on time. When we arrived at our table, we were pleasantly surprised to find a sweet birthday card accompanied by a small gift waiting for us—such a thoughtful, personalized touch that made the celebration feel extra special! ​The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing with a genuinely nice, inviting atmosphere. Parking was another huge plus; the covered garage parking was easy to access and came with 3 hours of validation, taking away all the usual parking stress. ​Service throughout the evening was attentive and warm, and we kicked things off with some truly tasty appetizers. The main courses were decent and enjoyable overall, rounding out a very pleasant meal. ​Between the great ambiance, stellar hospitality, and convenience, we would definitely return. Recommended for special occasions or a relaxing night out!

Me and my friends had a wonderful girls night at Catalina. The food is always good, but our server, Patrick, especially stood out tonight. He was so kind, funny and attentive. We absolutely loved him and would come back solely just to visit with Patrick.

5 stars across the board! Took my good friend out for her birthday, and it was a most enjoyable experience! The atmosphere was warm, inviting and friendly. The food was magnificent (best meatballs and polenta I've had to date). I will be revisiting soon.
