The food was good, and our server was good, but the whole experience was sadly marred by some strange behavior from the host:(. We were stuck in traffic and called ahead at 5:12 to say we would be there in about 25 minutes for our 5:30 reservation. I was not demanding at all, and very open to learning that they would have to cancel our reservation because I understood that we would be late and that was our fault. They said “we won’t be able to seat you that late, we can only seat parties within 15 minutes of their reservation time.” I said, “our ETA is 5:38, we should be there before 5:45.” There was some weird back-and-forth and it was unclear if the host was just doing the math wrong or trying to drive us away. They ended up saying we could have our reservation but we’d HAVE to be done by 7:15pm. Lol no problem, I’ve never been told something like that at a restaurant before but we were happy to do anything in our power to vacate our table in time. When we arrived, at 5:38, they said “you’ll have to be done by 6:40!” (Which is strange bc I think their website says reservations are for 90 mins and 5:30 res + 90 mins is 7pm lololol math is a struggle). I was like “oooooook, we’ll try our best for sure, but on the phone you said 7:15?” And he was like “ok fine you can have the table until 7.” We ended up comfortably leaving at 6:40 lol we are wonderful restaurant patrons and it was never gonna be a problem that we would overstay our welcome, just very strange that they were trying to put the onus of managing turnover times on the customers, especially at a fancy restaurant lololol. I wish they’d just said on the phone, “if you're late we can’t seat you sorry” and we could’ve found a restaurant with kinder staff instead of being stressed for no reason haha.

The food here was very good and would not hesitate to eat it again. However the experience was marred by the extremely slow service, and the fact that even though the receipt charges an itemized 3% fee for credit card payments, we were told that American Express is "not accepted". Considering that Toast is the payment processor here I highly doubt that our AMEX cards would not have worked. In the end, we walked away a bit disappointed after a decent meal.
