DivaDance Chicago has brought me so much joy and has truly changed my life. Everyone is kind and welcoming. Initially I was so nervous to start because I had never danced before but the teachers made it super accommodating for dancers of all levels. I love that they will repeat a challenging move until you can feel it in your body and give you funny cues to remember certain moves. The community is so encouraging it’s hard to not come back because you feel like you belong even when you are in a room of people you’ve never met before. I only have good things to say about DivaDance Chicago and am so happy that I decided to try something new. Now this is my home away from home and I’ve made so many amazing friends along the way.

We came in as a group for a bachelorette party. Lexi made our experience sooooo fun. We did half zumba style and half learning a dance routine to break out at the bars later. She was very patient as we learned, and the champagne helped us all loosen up. Cannot recommend enough!!

DivaDance has been one of the highlights of my year. They have built an incredible community of instructors, staff, and members who really hype you up and make you feel amazing! They've really created a judgment-free zone where you can have fun, meet amazing people, and get a good workout. I was nervous at first because I haven't danced in years, but those nerves went away the second I walked through the doors. Highly recommend!

Love love love DivaDance Chicago (Lincoln Park, Lakeview and West Loop)! I discovered it around 2 years ago and immediately fell in love with every aspect of the community. It was such a relief to find a third space that I can call "my home". The owner Lexi and all of the staff make it a priority to make everyone feel welcome despite any or all dance background. I love the variety of classes, including dancehall, afrobeats, and amapiano genres which are not super common at other studios. I also appreciate the variety of instructors who all have their own styles of teaching, but consistently encourage everyone to grow. I cannot say enough about DivaDance Chicago!!

I have to say, I enjoy when I’m actually able to make it into a class at this studio. The problem is their business model. They have a lot of people with “unlimited” classes who sign up for a ton of classes within hours of the schedule being released. For someone like me who is in and out of town and therefore can’t use the “unlimited” pass, I check for the class schedule drop and always try to sign up for classes on the same day they are released (usually 2-4 weeks in advance!) and inevitably I am ALWAYS #6-10 on the waitlist. If I make it off the waitlist, it’s within an hour of the class time and I rarely can make it by then. It’s frustrating and disappointing every time, especially because I have to pay for a class pass just to be allowed on the waitlist. I wish they considered their non-unlimited-pass members more :(
