It is 1:02am and they closed the bar. They say it closes at 2am.

Went for the first time for my birthday!! It was sooo fun, I will definitely be back soon!! 5 stars for everything because it was such a fun birthday night and I’m so glad that I went :)

The security team is outstanding—easily ten times better than a previous team that once pepper-sprayed me. They genuinely care about the public, handle situations in the club professionally, and consistently look out for everyone’s well-being.

I came to Rumors on a Saturday night this past weekend. Very decent sized crowd, cheap drinks, staff was kind. However, the music selection is something to be desired. It was 21+ night on a Saturday and I felt like I was at a middle school dance in 2009. One Direction, Justin Bieber while in his teenage glory days against a watered down techno beat? Thats the vibe at the gay spot on the weekend??? DJs in Grand Rapids would do themselves a huge solid if they went to Chicago and Detroit and took a lesson from some of the DJs out there.

Not a safe space for women! Was getting harassed by a man and asked the security guard for help. They ended up kicking us out instead because the man lied and said our group of girls attacked him. We then had to beg security to let us get our coats before leaving and they even tried to tell us our coats weren’t in coat check. Overall security does not protect the interest of women and I don’t recommend.

I have not been to the club in a long time, due to new anxiety obstacles. But, I was very impressed by safety atmosphere. They had great security! Parking lot was plowed better than most places. Staff was friendly.The club was clean and sanitary. Monica the dj was fantastic. The performer Peaches made my night, what a fabulous entertainer. Rumors made a drab Sunday night, sparkle like a diamond! Great time!

I’ve been to a lot of clubs in my lifetime and Rumors has got to be the worst club I’ve ever been to. It lacks excitement and joy. The atmosphere is very bland and gives off a republican vibe. They keep hiring the same DJ who plays bad mashups of 5 different songs that do not go together. Also, the gays there in Grand Rapids are a different type of breed. I was always getting sexually assaulted for no reason. I don’t know who manages that place, but something needs to change. Add more color in the club so it doesn’t feel so dry with the bright cool colors and ashy walls and floors. Hire more DJ’s that actually know what gays want to listen to.
