They dont have any food so I would suggest eating before arriving but it has come a long way since I was last in there. Its always a fun time and cocky divine he will always set you up for good drinks and amazong service.
My wife and I were in town for the Journey concert at Van Andel arena and it ended around 10pm so we searched online for cool places to go that would be accepting of us, I’m a Black Trans man and she’s a cis gender native white presenting woman. We got an uber from the concert and it dropped us off at Rumors. When we walked in there was a security person and a bouncer that was taking admission from two people in line ahead of us. When it was our turn I started to hand him my ID and he looked at us and said to my wife “I’m trying to figure out if I’m going to let you in”. We both looked at him like what are you talking about??? He said to her “when I saw you walk up you looked wobbly”. To be clear and add context, our uber dropped us off at the door on the sidewalk, we maybe had to walk 15 ft to the door. So he says “I just can’t take that risk tonight”. What risk and what are you talking about? It’s Sunday and we just came from a concert, so we’re trying to figure out if they don’t like straight presenting couples who are part of the community or was he a racist and tried to blame my wife so I didn’t pick it up. Because she wasn’t wobbly at all - we hadn’t had much to drink at all. So - it’s pretty unfortunate to try to visit the LGBTQIA+ club in the town you’re in but they don’t let you in because either they are racist (white guy with red beard) or they don’t like allies?
It was nice id go again
Stopped in for a Sunday night show. The performers were beautiful and their performances phenomenal. ❤️ 🔥
The entire place has changed. The new owners or whoever is managing it now has resulted to using AI for the new logo when we have plenty of queer artists in the city. They keep bringing and problematic entertainment. The house DJ is great and all but it would be nice to have a variety. Just extremely disappointing with what direction the establishment is headed in.
