Never go there!!! Dirty, the room and bathroom!! The wosrt part!! We got our money stolen! $300. Right after my partner told the manager that our inroom safe wasn't working. (It did once) Coming back from Jazz Fest, we saw a guy sitting right in front of our room. And our money gone!!! Even though the half manager said he took disciplinary actions, apparently changed his mind at the end. No refund or anything. I don't undertand how shitty they can be! Filing a report with the police now. Shame on Lamothe House workers and half manager that does nothing.

Save yourself and don’t book here, unless you would like to get bed bugs. Not cleaned well. I don’t think the vents have been cleaned in years. Pool was murky and not clear. Not worth it.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! A charming building on a quiet street, right next to the French Quarter and the Faubourg Marigny. The rooms are lovely, and so is the staff. The best part: a heated pool and a jacuzzi! Breakfast isn't served, but there are tables around the pool where you can enjoy a takeaway meal.

Overall I was very disappointed with the hotel. I love historic hotels and was super excited to stay in the French quarter in a hotel built in the 1800s, unfortunately we experienced all of the quirks of a historic building without any of the charm. The room was sparsely furnished (no mini fridges, table, or chairs) and what was there was clearly cheap, modern furniture. The fire alarm went off repeatedly during our stay, including early in the morning, without any explanation from staff. For me, the worst disappointment was the lack of natural light- the only windows in my room were covered by curtains that were permanently stuck down so even at 10 in the morning it felt like the middle of the night. The water pressure was extremely weak and the bathroom sink faucet was more of a drip than an actual flow. Many of these quirks could have been overlooked had there been any actual historic character in the rooms but there was not. I would not stay here again despite the location being amazing and could not possible recommend it others.

We loved our stay! The location is great, we were just a block from Frenchman Street. Our room was tucked away and quiet for being so close to a busy corner. We stayed a week and we felt like the staff knew us. The pool and hot tub is a nice getaway. Towels were stocked and the area was clean. The room was cleaned daily. The rooms have the 1-cup coffee pods and the lobby has fresh coffee in the mornings. If that's not enough there are plenty of options close by. Love it here. Planning our next visit now.

Hello , Hard review to write because the staff was nice & cordial but overall provided a poor service for the stay. We got a king room and there are two varieties of king rooms: the king rooms at the lamothe house site itself (which are small! ) and offside (which are large). We were placed in the smaller king room. The bathroom was also accordingly very tiny. There was almost no room for ones legs when sitting at the toilet. However, the notably poorest aspect of the experience was the handling of laundry. New towels / room service typically occurred late (4 pm) and the towels / bedsheets were not properly cleaned. I quickly developed a rash from sleeping in the bed sheets which promptly dissipated when I showered at home with my own towels and slept in my own sheets (substantial improvement after 8 hrs at home. ) The location was convenient but not worth the questionable handling of laundry

Great price, great location, staff was very nice. The room we got was small and had a few quirks. Bed was comfy, air con worked well. Not a chair in the room as I said it was small, had to get WiFi that worked from front desk as guest WiFi didn’t work. Hot tub attached to the pool not working. Bubble part did but not the hot part. I swam in the pool much to the amazement of some guests and staff, it was brisk. Private gated parking 40 dollars a night across the street behind hotel booked through hotel. French street with live music is a block away. Far enough away from the craziness and close enough to walk to. I will go back. Booking this hotel in an ap will save you 70 dollars vs from the hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

It was very good. We experienced ideal temperatures followed by very cool ones. I don't think the room was used to it... We got a bit of a draft coming through the doors. Very clean. Good service. Really central! A minor issue with the water. Was it drinkable or not? The question remains.

The location is great but this place is very misleading online. For starters, they advertise that they will hold onto your bag for you if you arrive before check in time and you want to go explore the city, etc. What that actually means is, you can add your bag to the giant pile of other guest bags in the lobby and anyone can just take your stuff. The white lady with brown hair at the front desk didn't even bother to ask my name when I dropped off my stuff, so how can she ensure my belongings don't get stolen? Or someone else in the hotel doesn't take them? Your bags will not be secure and staff don't seem to care. This hotel is advertised as 4 stars but there is no maid service? Is that not... standard for a hotel?? Let alone a hotel rated as 4 stars? We stayed for 3 nights and not once did the maid come to clean our room, empty the trash, provide fresh lines, etc. In fact, our room had glitter and lots of dirt on the floor from the guests staying there beforehand (further proof of the lack of maid service). When we did eventually run out of toilet paper and fresh towels, I had to go downstairs and ask the staff at the front desk, twice. The first time i asked, the older black lady in scrubs told me that the maid wasn't there yet, but she wrote down my room number and said they would take care of it. I'm not sure what was preventing this woman from going to the closet herself at the time and getting those items for a guest who requested them, but I said okay and we went about our day. We returned to the hotel 4 hours later and went straight to our room (thinking surely, the maid would have come by now). The only thing the maid did was drop a pile of towels on our coffee table. No toilet paper, no fresh linens, no effort to clean the room, trash was left full, etc. When I went to the front desk for the second time and told them all i got was towels, the black lady in scrubs was totally un-phased and offered only a monotone "sorry i forgot" in response. She was sitting with a man at the desk who was dressed in business attire who heard the whole conversation and also couldn't care less. I assume he was the manager. Later in our stay, we saw a mouse in our room. We would have complained to management but if they don't care about giving their guest basic things such as toilet paper and towels, why would they care about a mouse! We tried to make the best of our stay but we were totally disappointed. Leaving this review to warn others who stay here, its not what it seems!
