El Ellery

Charming boutique hotel surrounded by the heavenly scent of blooming lilacs. Our room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was simple but inspired. Terrific little spot.

This is a really pleasant, low key, unpretentious Hotel. But if you’re arriving late, you need to know the front desk closes at 8 PM. If you are arriving after 8 PM you need to make arrangements beforehand. They are very good at setting you up with a way to get into your room, but it’s best to physically call them and then follow up if you don’t receive the text message or email with the information you need. I had to call twice before I got the text.

Had a great stay. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. VERY conveniently located for families visiting campus. And an easy walk to the graduation location. Would highly recommend over staying downtown.

The location is perfect. The rooms are quiet, clean, and very pleasingly decorated. We were quite amazed at how much excellent food there was in the complementary breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely stay at the Ellery this past weekend. Our room was very clean and service was efficient and professional. Absolutely loved the lobby, which had 24/7 complimentary snacks and beverages. Fantastic location for the price depending on when you go. Highly recommend!

I had high hopes for this hotel as they were very flexible in moving a previous reservation I had due to a large snowstorm. Unfortunately, this rescheduled reservation was cancelled with a mere 4 days notice and I am no longer able to find a hotel. I found out it is UMass Visiting Students weekend and feel I have been pushed out to accommodate. Posting here to warn others to find more reliable hotels in the area.

An overpriced motel that oversells itself. It is close to Smith College but that is about all in its favor unfortunately.
