Hampshire Pride

Hampshire Pride is the community organization behind Northampton's annual Pride, formed in 2023 to succeed the former Noho Pride / Northampton Pride. It stages the region's main Pride celebration in early May — a parade through downtown from Sheldon Field along Main Street, followed by a festival with stages, vendors and community groups at the Armory Street lot. Rooted in the Pioneer Valley's long queer history (the valley's first Pride march was held in 1982), Hampshire Pride functions as the connective tissue of Northampton's LGBTQ+ community, a town famous for its integrated, downtown-wide queer life rather than a single gay district.
