Adrift Hotel

We chose Adrift as the primary lodging for our family reunion and it was perfect! The staff was amazing, the pool area was great, and the location near beach/boardwalk/town was ideal. We appreciated how pet friendly it was as well. Thanks for an amazing stay!

This was our first time staying at The Adrift Hotel, but it won’t be our last. The restaurant is outstanding as well. Perfect location & wonderful staff! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

I enjoyed every minute 😎 The motel and desk, restaurant and distillery (the sampling was enticing) were all wonderful. Your employees are the best. I particularly love the salt pool and the fact that you try to be as "green friendly" as possible😁 I will definitely return and ASAP 🤗💜😜

We just stayed one night but it was a nice stay. My daughter said the shower expwrience was incredible. The beds were comfortable. Although we didn't have a balcony to sit on, the view of the ocean was nice. I had some trouble booking my room (I was trying to use a promo code that had expired), the staff person helped me and was very courteous. We will definitely be back in the future.

This is such a cute hotel! It comes with a lot of amenities which is appreciated! I love the coastal vibe and cute decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was right on the beach and had a restaurant right on the 4th floor, there was no elevator In the building I was in, which was one of the only downsides. It was so cute and charming and I had a great stay here.

Arrived at the location to check in after 4, our room still wasn’t available (check in is at 4) and was offered a “complimentary upgrade” to a kind bed room that WAS available instead. At that time I was asked for my card for incidentals and pet fee, usual stuff. I didn’t think anything of it. When we walked into the room, it was like walking into a sauna. SO HOT, there is no ac available in most of the rooms according to the guy at the front desk. No big deal though, we asked for another fan and it was promptly delivered. The pictures made it look like we would be right on the beach, we weren’t. Also, no big deal. Fast forward to today, the day after check out and my card was charged twice by Adrift hotel. Once for 258, and once for 1$. (I PRE PAID for this room prior to check in) After contacting the hotel to express my concern, they offered a refund of 127$… which makes zero sense considering I was over charged 192$. Naturally there was no manager available to speak to. Don’t waste your time at this hotel, I wish I hadn’t. But if you like being over charged with no explanation other than “oops” and staying in a room that’s a million degrees with a mile walk just to the water, this is the place for you! UPDATE: after speaking to the manager who assured me that the money would be directly refunded, they took another 209$ out. Leaving me with almost 500$ in fraudulent charges from this hotel. BE AWARE!

We've been regulars at the Adrift since we discovered it in 2012. Reliably great service; wonderful restaurant and bar; simple, clean and comfortable rooms- and so many little "nice touch" amenities.

Overall the hotel was a good experience, but I’d only give it a 4 star experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a minimalist aesthetic that we really appreciated. One of our favorite features was the day bed by the window in the room we got, it was the perfect spot for our dog, and we just set her bed there so she could relax and watch the world go by. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and ideal for an evening sunset stroll or an early morning walk. Close enough to food options we could walk too. If you have an EV, you’ll love the charging options on-site (several stalls available and we just needed to swipe a card to charge). Being able to wake up with a full charge and hit the road was a huge plus for us. Although we didn’t indulge, we enjoyed the snack and drink selection downstairs, especially the variety available for beer lovers. The gift shop area was great too! The complimentary coffee was a nice touch, and the soaps provided in the room were surprisingly memorable… I loved the scent and actually looked forward to using them. I may even buy some for home! There were a few minor downsides. We had been looking forward to trying the coffee/pastry bar before leaving after reading great reviews, but it was closed when we were leaving, which was a little disappointing. The sauna area was also not quite at its best during our stay. Only two of the three saunas were operational, and one was occupied by the same couple for nearly an hour, making access somewhat limited. The sauna with the large glass view overlooking the forest and clouds was still a wonderful experience, though the glass itself and under the seats could use a more thorough cleaning. The indoor/outdoor pool was a nice bonus and added to the overall experience. For the discounted last-minute rate we paid, we felt the hotel offered good value. If I had paid full price, I likely would have expected a bit more attention to some of the amenities and maintenance details. That said, the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. Between the comfortable rooms, dog-friendly setup, beach access, EV charging, and overall atmosphere, we’d happily stay here again for longer (only had 1 night), maybe upgrade to a bigger room and would recommend it to travelers looking for a unique place to stay in Long Beach.

No A/C (they do provide a fan), but they have a pool, sauna, are directly next to the beach and boardwalk. Super friendly staff.

We stayed in the Beach House suite for my husband's birthday. The room was cute, clean and cozy. It was a short walk from the beach and positioned right behind the pool and sauna space. The amenities, including our in room jetted tub and complimentary whiskey tasting made our experience absolutely perfect! The staff at the hotel, distillery and restaurant were fantastic and we can't wait to book our next stay!!!
