The Dragon Room

Very very sad. Happy hour gone. Margarita gone. Wings gone. Tacos gone. Chicken gone. Classic Pink menu items gone. But if you can’t walk elsewhere and want a $18 spring roll or $20 tuna and potato chips, this is for you. Long time local and customer here but the effort to destroy this classic place to just a lobby spot for an Inn that charges four figures a night to tourists who don’t know any better is complete. The last iteration held onto some good real food and a happy hour. And I tried to support it. But they keep doing a tactic of closures and reopens with higher prices, less food and less Santa Fe. Puzzling business decisions here. A local or two talking with tourists is a plus for a business. Now it’s just going to be all tourists ready to overpay like they are some place else and not in Santa Fe. Every remodel just strips more history away. But now with the prices and strange changes, I would be more suspicious that it’s all about money. Just sad.
Loved it!
Great food and atmosphere. Staff is very welcoming
What a memorable night! Went for part of Happy Hour and stayed for part of live music -- Jesus Vez, Spanish guitar, phenomenal! We were greeted warmly when we entered, and we got a great seat near the music. This is the bar on the side of Pink Adobe. Staff are so gracious and warm. The "dragon" is a gorgeous deep blue, large light fixture. Food was delicious -- had guacamole prepared tableside (with steak added), and had tacos (two mushroom, one carne asada). Beautiful atmosphere. We looked briefly into Pink Adobe as well, and looks like a beautiful place with happy customers. On Santa Fe, between the Loretto and the state capitol. Also, attached to the Inn of Five Graces. A historic, iconic Santa Fe venue.
