Beautiful historic mansion with rustic/modern touch. Features a 5 star cozy Authentic Italian restaurant down stairs. The food is absolutely delicious and always packed. Book while there’s availability cause the rooms book fast. THIS IS THE RINGLINGS PRIMARY HOME BEFORE THEY GOT PAID HAHA. Yana/Rachelle/Antonio are take you in a dive into Italy as soon as you walk in. I mean it’s really walking into Italy. The food, the servers, the wine, the desert, the bread, the salad, & champagne is just exquisite. 💙💙💙 DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC SCILLICIAN FOOD AND WE KNOW THEY MAKE THE BEST ITALIAN; LETS BE HONEST LMAO. GREAT FOR BUSINESS PARTIES, Celebrations, weddings/Engagment celebrationz. THEY WINE AND DINE YOU AND FEED YOU EXQUISITE ITALIAN FOOD. PAIRED WITH ROMANTIC ITALIAN DECOR. ALSO; IT’S RIGHT IN DOWNTOWN SRQ. IMMERSED IN OCEAN AND BUILDINGVIEWS THE WHOLE WAY HERE. YANA/RACHELE ALSO PROVIDED INCREDIBLE CONCIERGE AND DINING EXPERIENCE. 💙💙💙

Over priced food, my Salmon was raw in the middle, and very blanned. The wine was awesome though. Lobster risotto was bland and eh as well. I wouldn't go back.

Cozy and charming place, authentic, with historic feel. Good affordable stay, with soul. The only downside is the internet if you need it for work, kinda slow and unreliable, so pack some mobile data if you need to be working. The rest of the stuff is as promoted.

I'm not sure why the rave reviews. The floors have terminate damage throughout, the heat does not work, and no hot water in the shower. Also, you can't watch TV unless you have a Roku account.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Reserve Retreat. The accommodations were charming and full of quaint, old-school character, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. From the moment we arrived at The Reserve Retreat Boutique Hotel in Sarasota, we were charmed by its quaint, old-school elegance and genuine hospitality. This hidden gem combines timeless charm with comfortable, thoughtful touches that made our stay truly memorable. The accommodations felt like a beautiful step back in time—our room had classic details that created a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless and comfortable, with just the right balance of antique flair. It’s rare to find a place that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly serene, but The Reserve Retreat delivers exactly that. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast at the on-site café. The food was delicious, fresh, with an attentive staff. I would highly recommend for your stay in Sarasota.

Prime location, the room leaves a lot to be desired. You can hear everything through the windows, there is no vent in the bathroom so the floors in the room were wet after the shower from the heat. The staircase leading up the room is extremely steep, the only light switch for it is at the bottom of the stairs. So if you come back late you can use your cell phone light to go up the stairs so the hallway light does shine in the bedroom. It's a very cute resort, the owner was nice via text. The room very subpar, we paid for two nights left after one night.

Wonderful stay with a beautiful room. Very easy checkin and checkout instructions. The Italian restaurant downstairs was also lovely for dinner!

We booked this location for our 4 year anniversary. What drew us was the quaint building/outdoor architecture and dog friendly-ness! This was a slightly last minute, week of, booking, but the owners shared all the important information. We utilized this location for Selby Botanical Gardens Christmas Lights (highly recommend that as well). We were unable to utilize The Reserve Retreat onsite coffee shop or restaurant due to previous plans but thought having these dining options were a great idea! They looked busy for dinner. The Charles Ringling room was spacious, clean and even smelled clean when entering. We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine after the light show. Showers were hot! Beds and pillows were CLOUDS! Very comfortable. Need a comfy bed when away from home! I love the history behind the building as well. I was unaware of the Ringling brothers and their influence within Sarasota. We would like to come back and check out the Ringling Museum. In the morning we went to St. Armand Circle - very dog friendly areas - and will be headed back up to Tampa. All in all, very hospitable, dog friendly and would stay here again forsure!

I am scratching my head at the 5 star reviews. By unfortunate circumstances I had the chance to stay in both the Bayside Bliss and the Reserve Retreat rooms. Both rooms had wood floors that were worn, and though they were cleaned, always felt dirty. An easy fix with a simple coat or two polyurethane would solve the problem. The noise at the Retreat is also a big problem. It’s adjacent to a busy street with a traffic circle at the corner. Matching or exceeding that noise were the a/c unites placed above the beds. Why they are placed directly above the bed and not across the room in a window is beyond me. I had to wear earplugs. Finally there is the upkeep problem. In my first room , Bayside Bliss the shower drain was completely clogged. I will give the owner credit for quickly responding and offering me the Reserve Retreat room next door. This room also had maintenance issues. The shower door latch was broken, kitchenette sink faucet loose. Definitely overpriced.
