Lovely, calm weekday walk. A few parking options along the trial. Great place to walk your dog.

Perfect for walking, running, and biking. However, most of the arboretum is not wheelchair friendly. Even the walking paths have hidden inclines so it’s an extreme workout to push an adult in a wheelchair.

Lovely place to walk and enjoy the variety of trees and bushes not normally found around here. Reasonably quiet and not many people. Nice pathways.

Nice place to get into nature without leaving the city. The loop is easy enough for anyone to accomplish.

Truly one of the most beautiful places I been, right in the middle of the city (almost in the middle lol). Tons of trails and fairly close to lake Washington.

Beautiful park away south of the UW campus, away from the crowds downtown. Large variety of trees and a small Japanese garden

Truly beautiful large park with numerous paths and areas of interest. Do pick up park map at visitor centre. Many huge impressive trees in the woodland areas. When rhododendrons and azaleas are in bloom must be spectacular. Sadly the azaleas were past but some stunning rhododendrons were just nearly past. Lovely breathing space in a lovely green city.

This is an expansive park. I think it's key to do a little home work prior to see what areas that may interest you and visit those places. I think also the time of year makes a difference as to what's blooming. I will say the signs are no good on the trails. There should be more signs to help you navigate the park.

We came here on a very rainy Sunday morning and it felt like we had all the park to ourselves. The fall leaves are brilliant reds and yellows. The paths slightly confusing but manageable. I would recommend good walking shoes or boots as the paths were slick with rain and mud. The nature is very serene and soothing and a wonderful counterpoint to an otherwise busy urban environment. We wanted to visit the Japanese garden (which has a small fee) but it was locked and not yet open. We will have to return.

Passing through the Japanese-style gate, you will find an arboretum that blends beautifully with the small, yet beautifully arranged, colorful maple, tasteful pines, and quietly watering ponds. It was such a wonderful garden that you can feel the illusion of being in the same place. It was cloudy on the day we visited, but I felt that the rainy garden would be nice as well.

During a very short solo family visit to Seattle, this was one of the only attractions I wanted to fit in for an quiet hour. What a wonderful site. Numerous paths to view a fantastic variety of plants. On one hand, the paths were almost devoid of any directions which leads to a challenge to orienteer but perhaps that is what adds a lot to the raw and wild atmosphere. Nonetheless, I think some minimal markers would help. I wanted to get to the visitors centre and never found it.

This park is also close to downtown Seattle and operated by the University of Washington and the City of Seattle. Each area has its own theme and a Japanese garden. Admission to the Japanese garden is charged except in the off-season. There are other slightly larger parks in the United States that make Japanese gardens, but I think this one is of fairly high quality. There are also artworks hanging from the trees, and a leisurely walk will soothe you. It takes about an hour and a half.

Huge park with plenty of trails. Nice spot for a morning walk or run as views are great. Also parking was free. I got a little turnaround a few times so I will like the loop trail could be marked a bit better. I would not go out of my way to visit but if looking for budget friendly and outdoor activity while i. Seattle it’s a perfect option. Easily could spend a few hours if you wanted to explore the whole thing.

This was the best thing to see in Seattle! Forget the over-hyped, expensive stuff. Bring water and lunch, spend the whole day seeing all the gorgeous gardens. We walked 6 hours and still didn’t see it all. Truly beautiful! Free, and we had a romantic picnic lunch with lovely views.

The hike was good but the “waterfall” was just a trickle of water down a rock. There was a lot of elevation changes and the path was well maintained.
