The Z Hotel Trafalgar
Visitors frequently praise the Z Hotel Trafalgar for its superb central London location and friendly, helpful staff. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are extremely compact, often described as tiny, with some guests finding the air conditioning ineffective during warmer periods and the beds uncomfortable or difficult to navigate for couples.

Beautiful hotel, room was nice and clean, a good size room for what we needed, there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling in room 328 but didn't put me off. Location is great, very close to the theatres i was visiting. Would stay here again
I was given a complimentary upgrade to a Z Queen inside room on a higher floor. These rooms are windowless and compact with a private bathroom; a step up from a capsule hotel. The room and lobby were clean and comfortable for the most part.
Bed had a huge dip in the mattress so was an uncomfortable nights sleep. Needed an iron for my work shirt, was informed it would be brought to my room but never arrived. Very good pizza from the bar though. Friendly service.
This place is absolutely perfect for a short 1 or 2 night stay a stone throw from west end theatres. Our room was windowless but this made it very quiet. The room was small and cosy. Be aware that there is very limited privacy when using the en suite toilet. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. The free tea, coffee and an evening glass of wine with cheese and biscuits, were a great touch.
Amazing location and bedrooms for a very affordable price. You don’t need more than that!
Good option IF you can secure a low rate. Positives: - Superb central London location - essentially Covent Garden. - Although very small and basic, rooms are functional, with AC. - Strong free WiFi. - Staff are welcoming. Negatives: - Rooms are *extremely* compact with only one side of the bed accessible. If sharing, be prepared! - Disappointingly, rooms are showing signs of wear and tear - needs maintenance! - Curtains do not block out light properly. - TV’s need better remotes and channel list need fixing. Tip: Booking direct gives you a free glass of wine and cheese board every day, plus unlimited tea and coffees from the bar.
