About the event

It's time for ROOKIE NIGHT. To celebrate the end of this summer's BABY STEPS, we're hosting a night for our grads and beginners to for what might be your first time on the floor. Expect a few full lessons, lesson refreshers and guided open floors where we'll call along to staple dances. If you've been to our other events and want to learn some more of the core beginner dances, this one's for you too. DOORS 7PMLESSONS FROM 7:30PM We suggest wearing something you can move and sweat in and shoes with smooth-soles or low grip to help you along, rather than running trainers (trust us. ).We're a queer community, prioritising the joy, safety and expression of LGBTQIA+ people and welcome allies. Walthamstow Trades Hall is a great venue with plenty of space to sit between dances, play pool and grab a drink. They offer yearly memberships which give you discounts on tickets, bar and local businesses. Their access information is available here. If you would like to know lesson plans ahead of the night, have a preference of space to learn (side of stage/front row etc) or anything else we can provide, please send us a message. We want everyone to be able to join us so please only concession tickets these if you have accessibility needs - no proof needed.
