Hotel Adria

The room and the hotel are absolutely fantastic. It also has a nice swimming pool. However, this hotel is located at the top of a hill, so you need to be sure-footed if you want to walk into town yourself. Otherwise, you can of course take a car or taxi. As a result, there isn't much in the immediate vicinity.

Great hotel with amazing views and lovely pool. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice. I'd recommend taking the 450+ steps down the hill to the restaurants on the Obala Stjepana Radica.

3.5 km from the Old Town. Uber, Bolt 10€, return 12-18€. The only downside is probably the location, but the hotel makes up for it with views of part of Dubrovnik. Breakfast is fresh, and the service is friendly.

The cocktails are expensive for what you get. When you pay 12€ for it and you don’t even taste the aperol in the spritz it is quite disappointing. Same for other cocktails

The hotel staff deceived customers and had a terrible service attitude; it was a very bad experience.

Do not stay on the floor directly under the bar, you will hear the chairs until the bar closes on the ceiling and 5 am when they clean up. But the rooms themselves are great with fantastic views, just ask for one floor down. The pool is very nice, the breakfast is good and the dinner buffet is satisfactory, not gourmet but above average. I would go back.

A hotel with a great view overlooking Dubrovnik's Old Town. It's on a hill, so it's not within walking distance of the Old Town. The breakfast is delicious. However, they don't provide service after 9 PM until morning. That's a drawback.

The hotel's insulation is absolutely terrible. There are large gaps under the room doors, and you can hear every word from the hallway. Chairs on the balcony are moved around extremely loudly and clatteringly until late at night (11 pm) and early in the morning (5 am) – they desperately need felt pads! It's enough to make you jump out of bed. Every time another guest flushed the toilet, the water rushed loudly in our bathroom. Furthermore, there were several large tour groups staying at the hotel who held an extremely loud briefing right outside our room at 6 am. Since I barely slept a wink both nights, I definitely wouldn't book this hotel again.

Hotel was booked by an agency on my behalf. I was able to check in upon arrival at 2pm and that was appreciated. Parking was free and plentiful. The room was fine however as others have mentioned the AC was inadequate; you could set the temp on whatever you liked but the room never got below about 23C - very uncomfortable sleeping. The pool was lovely and the personnel at the bar were efficient and polite. I wish I could say the same for the older, tall gentleman working during breakfast; I brought my water bottle to the juice/water bar hoping to refill it -- I did not see the sign indicating "no water bottle filling" and politely asked about filling my bottle - he rudely pointed to the sign. I acknowledged the sign and chose to get just a glass of water; I took a glass from the tray to fill it -- he literally TOOK THE GLASS OUT OF MY HAND and placed it back on the tray. I told him I was just going to get a glass of water and once again I took a glass - ONCE AGAIN he removed it from my hand and put it back on the tray -- I was astounded -- I was not allowed to have a glass of water??? He must have reconsidered his position and then offered to fill my water bottle in the kitchen, which he did. But the damage was done. How a hotel can employee personnel who treat their guests like that is beyond me; If it was the end of the tourist season and nerves were frayed I could understand -- but it was mid-June, tourist season is just starting.
