Jihoceska Lambda (South Bohemian Lambda)

Jihoceska Lambda (South Bohemian Lambda) is one of the region's oldest LGBTQ+ organisations, with roots in community and advocacy work going back to the 1990s. It provides a stable, formally registered structure for queer life in South Bohemia: support and social contact, advocacy, and administrative backing for newer initiatives — including handling the finances and donations of the younger BUDQueer group. Like the rest of the local scene, Jihoceska Lambda is community- and network-based rather than venue-based; Ceske Budejovice has no gay bar, club or sauna of its own. The organisation appears in national Czech LGBTQ+ directories (such as STUD's LGBT adresar) and remains a reference point for anyone seeking community, information or support in the South Bohemian region.
