Hotel Deutsche Eiche is the most famous gay hotel in Bavaria and one of Germany's most significant LGBTQ+ accommodations. The building — a guesthouse since 1864 — offers 25 individually furnished rooms in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel, with access to the restaurant, beer garden and sauna complex on the lower floors. The hotel is gay-specific rather than gay-friendly: it is operated by and for the LGBTQ+ community, and guests arrive knowing that every aspect of the experience is designed for them. Rooms are furnished with attention to the building's historic character — exposed beams, period furniture, and the lived-in quality of a building that has been inhabited continuously for 160 years. The Reichenbachstraße location puts guests 10 minutes' walk from Marienplatz and within the Glockenbachviertel neighbourhood. During Rosa Wiesn and Munich CSD, the hotel is fully booked months in advance — the only option is early planning.
