Kosovo's 2008 Constitution bans discrimination based on sexual orientation, and the 2015 Law on Protection from Discrimination covers both sexual orientation and gender identity; the 2019 Criminal Code adds hate-crime penalties. There is no recognition of same-sex partnerships: a 2022 draft Civil Code that would have allowed civil unions was rejected by the Assembly in March 2022. Prishtina Pride has been held since 2017.
