SoHo dresses like a London pub — dark wood, brass, a grand staircase — and parties like an Amsterdam gay bar. It has been one of the anchors of Reguliersdwarsstraat for two decades, with two floors that fill in stages: conversation downstairs early, dancing upstairs late. Wednesday is the sleeper hit — the midweek party regularly beats many weekend nights on the street. On weekends it runs until 04:00 and the staircase becomes the meeting point of the whole block. Drinks are standard for the street, the door is easygoing, and the mixed-age crowd makes it one of the easier rooms to walk into alone.
