Hostal Balkonis

I would definitely recommend this hotel. We stayed for 4 days and were very pleased. The rooms with balconies are especially comfortable. The reception is open until 5 pm. We received a very friendly welcome and they were helpful with everything. Since we went in February, it was cold in the evenings and they provided heaters. The location is very convenient. Almost everything is within walking distance. It's right next to the metro station. The rooms are clean and nice. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you for everything.

Modest accommodation with excellent value for money, considering typical prices in Barcelona. Basic but adequate rooms with TVs; some have terraces. Options for 3 and 4 people. Very good location. Soundproofing isn't great; you can hear what's happening in other rooms. You need to notify them of late check-in because there's no staff on duty after a certain time.

Before arriving, the hotel reviews on Google Maps scared me a little, but once we got there we were warmly welcomed and the rooms were clean. The rooms are a bit older, which is logical considering the condition of the building. The beds are hard and the walls are thin, but not so disturbing that you couldn't sleep well. The water in the shower was super. I would recommend it and definitely come again, considering the price and experience :)

The location is unbeatable, but the rooms were in very poor condition. The French doors didn't close properly, the mattresses were old, deformed, and uncomfortable, and the pillows were very hard. The Wi-Fi only works in the reception area. Once you're in your room, it stops working. Which is a definite no-no. The prices are very high for what the hostel offers.

Room, service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Good location for getting to other interesting areas. It doesn't have air conditioning, although it's provided, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work. The hairdryer in the bathroom is merely decorative.

The service and location were fine. The room, however, was the worst my girlfriend and I have ever stayed in. It wasn't clean, the door was of poor quality, and we could hear everything from outside. We were next to the reception area, so we heard everything and couldn't sleep well. The view from the window was nonexistent. All in all, the price was far too high for what was offered!

The receptionnist is very nice and professional but she is not always here. They save too much on giving people enough hours of work and it has an impact on the service they provide.

A simple, nice, cozy hostel in a great location. The only downside is the thin walls; you can hear the neighbors quite a bit.
