Delicious and creative food with a big focus on fish and seafood and Peruvian/Japanese flavours. Good cocktails and decent, well-priced wine selection. Friendly staff and comfortable restaurant. This place has been good for years and the tasting menu offer excellent value!

My experience was absolutely amazing. The Pisco Sour was one of the best I’ve had, and the ceviche had that authentic Peruvian flavor that really shows the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Every dish transported me back to Peru and the service was also great. I’d highly recommend this place for any occasion

Went here for a birthday meal, the food was so tasty and so nicely presented and the drinks (mocktails) were delicious. Really enjoyed the flavour palette. The staff were so lovely, helpful, patient. They also called ahead of the booking to check if it was a special occasion. Nice laid back atmosphere but not overly casual. Highly recommend!

Our son made the reservation as we are not local to the area. My husband and I have never eaten at a Peruvian restaurant and in fact the food here is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors. I can't say enough good things about our meal. Surprising and delicious maybe sums it up. We had three "snacks", three appetizers and a main and two desserts. I drank wine, my son had NA option and my husband had beer. Amazing food especially for the price and portions. Expected a lot less. If you're looking for a special night out try Chakanas. You won't be disappointed. ( they have an early seating of 1/2 off the food but you need to make reservations) Well worth it if you want to try before committing to full tasting menu. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMG this place is amazing, for the moment you step in the staff is very friendly and welcoming, and than the food, what can I say, just fabulous. First course - I can not make my mind which one I like more the one that I order or my wife's . Mains was as good with the octopus that was cook for perfection. After that normally I am very worried to order dessert cos I don't want to ruin a great meal but I had to. And they done it again . Both was extraordinary. I would like to thanks the staff for this lovely wedding anniversary meal . We will be back again soon to try more of the menu.

I came back to this restaurant because my previous visit was good, especially the octopus dish. Unfortunately, this time the experience was disappointing. The food quality and portion sizes are inconsistent. The octopus portion was barely half of what I received on my last visit (white plate), yet the price remained the same (or even higher). As you can see from the photos, its barely 2-3 pieces and the plantain chips were also burnt, which shouldn’t have been served to customers. The total bill came to well over £90 (two mains, one starter and one drink), including a £10 service charge, which felt excessive considering the inconsistency in both the food and the overall experience. For that price, I’d rather spend a little more and dine at restaurants like Orelle or other premium city centre restaurants where the quality and value are more consistent. On a positive note, the Peruvian flavours are genuinely good, and the waitresses who served us were polite, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. They were the highlight of the visit. I hope the restaurant improves its consistency because it clearly has potential, but based on this visit, I don’t feel the experience justified the price.

Had the veggie taster menu. 3 or 4 really exceptional dishes and a couple maybe not to my taste but thats to be expected. Service was excellent and food came out quick.

I visited this restaurant on Sunday at lunch with my mother. I work as a restaurant manager for major international hospitality brands, and although this wasn't my first time dining here, I wanted my mum to experience it for herself. Let's start with the food: excellent. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. The quality is evident in every dish, and everything we ordered was well executed and genuinely enjoyable. However, the biggest surprise of the day wasn't the food. We were served by a very young waitress who was constantly smiling and brought a fantastic energy to the dining room. Over the years, I've worked with and trained thousands of hospitality professionals, and it is genuinely rare to come across someone so naturally talented. She knew the menu inside out, not in a way that felt like she was trying to upsell, but in a way that helped guests choose what would genuinely suit them best. She was polite, professional, attentive, and proactive, while never becoming intrusive, a combination that nowadays feels almost like an endangered species. As someone who works in the industry, I couldn't help occasionally listening to her interactions with the tables around us. I heard her engaging with families, couples, and larger groups, and what impressed me most was that the same level of care, enthusiasm, and professionalism was present with everyone. She wasn't just being exceptional with our table; she was consistently outstanding across the entire section. My only advice to management is: hold on to her. Finding young people with this level of passion, work ethic, and genuine care for guests is incredibly difficult these days. If even 20% of the staff we train showed this same attitude and enthusiasm, my job would be significantly easier and I'd probably sleep much better at night! The only slight disappointment? The service charge is shared among the whole team. After receiving service like that. Honestly, I haven't experienced service of this calibre in years. And living and working in the UK, where this level of hospitality can be difficult to find even in expensive restaurants, made the experience even more impressive. Congratulations to the entire team, but a special round of applause goes to this young lady. She turned what would have been a very good meal into a truly memorable experience. In an industry that often talks about the shortage of great hospitality professionals, she is exactly the kind of person who reminds us why it's still worth investing in and believing in the next generation.
